We may have just found the cheapest way to buy Apple’s iPhone 15 thanks to a huge data perk

Anyone on the hunt for a shiny new phone will be well aware of the feat it is to shop around and find the cheapest price, especially if you’re looking for the latest Google, Apple, or Samsung phone. As tech fans race to grab Sky Mobile’s latest string of deals, we’ve spotted a much cheaper way to buy the flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Sky has just announced its ‘lowest price is back’ as it offers the Pro Max model from £36 a month. As fellow provider O2 sells the set for £56 a month and an upfront fee of £30 for the device and just 1GB of monthly data, we can’t help but think this Sky deal is one of the cheapest around – but there’s a catch.

At first glance it may seem ridiculously cheap, seemingly £864 for 24 months, even though you can switch your phone out at 24 months you have to carry on paying until you reach the 36-month mark, as it says in the cheekily-discreet small print. That works out to £1,296 overall for the device – and yes, Apple’s outright £1,199 is cheaper but it doesn’t get you any data.

Sky customers will have to add data into their iPhone 15 Pro Max plan but the provider will triple it for you for free, which is where our eyes light up on the deal. Yes, it’s another perk that may just sway you to the deal, as you could walk away with 75GB of monthly data for the price of 25GB (an extra £16 a month).

The adjacent data deal can be found on either its 10GB data or 25GB data plans, where Sky will triple the amount for you for a whole 12 months of the plan. Clicking the 25GB option gets you 75GB for just £16GB a month, an eye-watering loophole considering it sells the same amount (not in its triple offer) for £25 a month – that’s already a £9 a month saving.

We’re always quick to compare deals at Mirror Tech as it can be so easy to get caught out in a discount that looks too good to be true, having scoured around we don’t think that’s the case for Sky’s latest offer. A quick look and you’d pay a much more expensive £61 a month (with a £30 upfront fee) for 25GB of data and the iPhone 15 Pro Max device at O2, while Tesco Mobile currently charges £49.99 a month.
