Apple has just unveiled its new MacBook Air and if you’re thinking of buying one you might want to check out this deal from Sky Mobile

There’s a fresh MacBook Air on the block, and it might be time to think about an upgrade. This latest offering from Apple is a standout, boasting a potent M4 processor housed within its sleek aluminium frame.

It also comes with an increased standard RAM (16GB, up from 8GB on entry-level models), an enhanced camera featuring innovative Centre Stage technology, and is available in an eye-catching new Sky Blue shade.

It also includes all the usual perks, such as a crystal-clear display, extended battery life, a comfortable keyboard and the industry-leading Force Touch trackpad.

Apple has even cut the price this year, with prices now starting at just £999 – that’s £100 less than the M3 model cost when it was released last year.

The new Air is a solid choice for anyone in need of a new MacBook without opting for the Pro version. But if £999 seems a bit steep for a one-off payment, there are other options.

Currently, Sky Mobile is offering this new device for just £22 per month with a nominal £2 upfront fee. They’re even throwing in a 100MB data SIM for free as part of the deal. Shoppers will have to commit to a lengthy 48-month contract (a downside in our opinion) but the total price comes to just over £1,050, which isn’t much more than buying directly from Apple. If you happen to tire of the device – Sky allow you to switch after 36 months.

Apple is tempting tech enthusiasts with a trade-in discount for those looking to upgrade their gear. “Get credit towards a new Mac when you trade in your eligible computer,” the tech giant has announced, urging customers to consider swapping their old MacBooks for a shiny new model.

“Answer a few questions to get your estimated trade-in value. Pay the full amount today and we’ll credit your payment method after we’ve received and evaluated your trade-in,” Apple further explained, making the deal even sweeter for those ready to part with their ageing laptops.

Meanwhile, retailers like Very are also offering the latest MacBook Air, with discounts on last year’s M3 Air model catching the eye. Amazon is currently listing the older version at a tempting £899, though it’s worth noting that it lacks the power, improved camera, and fresh colour options of the latest release.
