Stand up comedian Ken Flores has died at the age of 28 while in the middle of his US tour

Comedian Ken Flores has tragically died at the age of 28 while in the midst of his tour.

The Chicago-based star was performing 33 dates across America as part of his Butterfly Effect tour and was due to perform later today in Phoenix, Arizona. His family issued a heartbreaking statement as they said: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores.

“Please respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss.” The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Flores died at home on Tuesday after a cardiac arrest, according to TMZ. His family haven’t shared an official cause of death.

Flores last performed on January 25 in Norcross, Georgia with his tour running until April 19.
