Once again, Strictly fans are not happy with Thomas Skinner. The former Apprentice star and businessman has already caused a stir after storming out of an press event for the show, and fans are raking him over the coals once more, as some spot a huge blunder during the launch show.
Thomas was at the centre of controversy when he was revealed to be part of the line up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. Some fans were fuming that he was chosen to take part, as his links to right-wing politicians such as Donald Trump and Nigel Farage, as well as his political rants on X, made many feel he should not be spotlighted. He was blasted by fans again earlier this month after he stormed out of a pre-show press event, taking a journalist’s phone with him.
Now, fans are criticising Thomas again as some spotted an odd bulge in his trouser leg. Responding to an image posted to X, one fan said: “This image is so funny to me for many reasons, but mostly because his phone is clearly in his pocket.”

Some fans suggested it may be his mic pack, but many agreed with the post and added their own theories about why the Strictly star may have chosen to keep his phone so close by. Thomas has recently coughed up to cheating on his wife, and some have included this as part of their theories.
“Given how much cheating he’s done, he’d not leaving that phone around for anyone to check his messages!” one wrote. “I dread to think what’s on there.”

Another wrote: “Can’t let his wife see his texts so has to keep it close by.” And another similarly said Thomas “can’t risk his missus going through his phone”.
Others have poked fun at the star and his frequent social media usage. Referencing his one-word catchphrase, one fan joked that Thomas was “counting down the minutes til he could tweet ‘trophy in the bag, gonna celebrate with a full english BOSH’ or something equally as ridiculous”.
Earlier this month, Thomas made headlines after an incident at a press event in London. During the event, Thomas became angry with a reporter and snatched their phone away before storming out of the event. Fans blasted the star as a “manchild” and many demanded he be removed from the show.
He later said that he was upset because he had seen messages on the reporter’s phone about a “story from my past”. Many wondered what that story was and it was soon revealed that Thomas had previously cheated on his wife Sinead, just weeks after they got married.
Thomas has said that the fury from fans and demands that he be removed has only made him more determined to stay and that he is “stronger than people think”. Posting to X hours after the Strictly launch show aired, he said: “Life ain’t easy. I’ve been kicked down an called every name under the sun recently and probably some of it I deserve, as yes I ain’t always right. But since I got invited to have a BBQ with JD Vance….its gone crazy. Certain people are doing everythin they can to ruin me. Mainly Faceless accounts givin it large and abusing me, hypocrites making everything political.
“Now I see people are fumin’ that I’m on Strictly…. and the funny thing is that the majority of them got “be kind” wrote in their bios. You couldn’t make it up. Let me tell you this. I won’t be cancelled. I ain’t gonna kill myself like some of you want. I’m still here. I’m still standin.
“Trust me when I say this; I am stronger than people think. Every insult, every lie, every attack….it don’t break me, it builds me stronger. I built what I got from nothing. I Slept on a pull-out bed on the floor for years cus I never had a bedroom. Weirdos write rubbish on Wikipedia about my upbringing that ain’t true, but they can’t take away what I’ve built with graft & fight.”
On Saturday (20 September) it was revealed that Thomas has been partnered with Amy Dowden. The pro dancer, who has survived breast cancer, posted on Instagram: “The news is out! @iamtomskinner and I are excited and working hard rrrrrready for the first live show next Saturday! Tom is working so hard and is loving learning to dance ( more than he ever imagined). We are laughing lots too! Honestly Tom it’s been so lovely getting to know the really lovely, bubbly, full of life you this week. Thanks for a great week and so looking forward to our strictly journey ahead! Let’s do this.”
