Strictly Come Dancing duo Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal’s off-screen relationship has been under intense scrutiny with the pair’s bond said to be getting stronger
Strictly Come Dancing pair Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal are said to be “closer than ever” as rumours continue to speculate about their off-screen relationship.
Former TOWIE star Pete, 36, was seen cosying up with his professional dance partner this week and reports suggest the chemistry between the pair is “intensifying”. It’s claimed the 30-year-old dancer’s behaviour with her celebrity partner is the talk of the cast behind the scenes.
A source claimed: “The chemistry between them has been pretty clear since the moment they met. But the last few weeks something has changed and they’ve started seeing each other away from the show.”
Speaking to the Sun, the source continued: “They’ve tried to keep it low-key but they often travel together rather than getting separate cars to different locations.” They also claimed the duo were being “tactile” behind the scenes with it becoming obvious something is brewing between the two. “Everyone is talking about the fact they seem closer than ever,” they added.
Appearing on It Takes Two with host Janette about his and Jowita’s routine on Thursday, Pete admitted he felt uncomfortable doing a Latin dance but wanted to push through it and try and make it through to the next week’s competition, which he did.
“Funnily enough, it was my first time in latex trousers so I didn’t know the ins and outs of it,” he joked, before Jowita discussed the performance and how proud she was of Pete for taking it all in his stride.”
Speaking to Janette, Jowita then said: “We had so much fun. I think, it’s Blackpool and everything’s bigger -” but Pete cut her off and interjected: “Thank you,” leaving Janette in hysterics.
The potential pairing comes after Maura Higgins, who has also been romantically linked with Pete, insisted she entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle as a single woman. She was spotted kissing Pete at the Pride of Britain Awards last month and was asked if she had been on a date with Pete prior to he jungle entrance. Speaking to the Mirror, she replied coyly: “I mean, I’ve been on a date with many people.”
But she was also keen to play the relationship firmly down, adding: “I’m not [dating]. Where have you heard that? I date but I’m very much single. Honestly, I just think the interest in my dating life is so boring. People go on dates. Like everyone goes on dates, but then it suddenly becomes that I am in a relationship with this person, or that person.”
