Taylor is re-recording all her albums as part of her copyright battle caused when her former label, Big Machine, sold the rights to her music to Scooter Braun, CEO of Hybe Corporation
Taylor Swift left fans stunned as she made a huge change to her Eras Tour, as she returned to the stage this week.
The singer debuted a new bodysuit on her Eras Tour for the first time in two years during her Reputation set.
On her 132nd show of the tour, the 14-time Grammy winner ditched her regular red and black bodysuit that she has worn for every Reputation set so far, changing it up with a new snake-themed Roberto Cavalli outfit.
On Friday night, when playing in Miami, 34-year-old Taylor made the change, leaving fans wondering if there was a message in the outfit switch up.
The crowd definitely read into it, with Swifties eagerly waiting for an announcement on Taylor’s re-record of the 2017 hit record.
Taylor’s incredible piece featured snakes intertwined around each other, with gold detailing, while one of the snakes appeared to resemble a number two. Of course, this lead fans to speculate that Reputatoin (Taylor’s Version) could be about to drop.
The last time Taylor wore a new bodysuit was during her Midnights set, on Friday August 16 during one of her London shows. Fans suspected at the time that Taylor was about to announce the re-record of Reputations then, because the last time she switched her Midnights look (in August 2023) she went on to announced 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
The prolific popstar is yet to release two more Taylor’s Version albums, Reputation – originally out in November 2017 – and her 2003 debut, Taylor Swift. She began to re-record her albums as a way to reclaim her music, after her albums were sold to Scooter Braum in 2019, from her former label, Big Machine.

She announced that August that she would be re-recording all of them.
Speaking on Good Morning America, when asked if she would be re-recording, Taylor explained: “Yeah, that’s true. It’s something that I’m very excited about doing because my current contract says that starting November 2020—so next year—I can record albums one through five all over again. I’m very excited about it because I think that artists deserve to own their work. I just feel very passionately about that.”
Taylor was also declined the use of her own music and even her own old performance footage in her Netflix documentary, by Scott and Scooter.
She said: “I feel very strongly that sharing what is happening to me could change the awareness level for other artists and potentially help them avoid a similar fate. The message being sent to me is very clear. Basically, be a good little girl and shut up. Or you’ll be punished. This is WRONG. Neither of these men had a hand in the writing of those songs. They did nothing to create the relationship I have with my fans. So this is where I’m asking for your help.”
