Gabrielly Moreira, 16, was found dead at a consruction site in Brazil last week. Her father said she died under ‘mysterious’ circumstances after her friends gave different stories about what happened
A teen beauty queen who was described as an “absolute sweetheart” was tragically found dead in a house which was under-construction.
Gabrielly Moreira, 16, from Brazil, went to a bar with a group of friends on September 18. The group, which consisted of another girl and two boys, later ended up entering the restricted property. According to one of the boys she was with, she fell ill and collapsed on the floor.
Her friends alerted emergency services and urged her father to come to the scene at around 12.30am. But when he arrived, he noticed she had blood on her chin, and bruises on her right arm. The father later found that the group had conflicting stories about what had happened.

Paramedics were already at the construction site in Pedra Branca in north-eastern Brazil, when he arrived. They attempted to revive the student but she later died. Her father, Valb rio said he noticed two vodka bottles in the house, one empty and the other still had some left. He said he managed to speak to two of the three companions.
Her devastated father said the circumstances surrounding her death are “very mysterious.” According to the girl, Gabrielly entered a dark room with one of the boys, and came out screaming about 25 minutes later. Gabrielly, who was a high school student and part-time model, was already losing consciousness on the floor when the others entered the room.
According to the boy she was with, she suddenly felt ill and collapsed. Valb rio said: “The under-construction house was large and dark, we want to know the truth. It’s a very mysterious thing. I loved her deeply, Gabrielly was an absolute sweetheart.” The authorities are currently waiting for the results of an autopsy to establish the teen’s exact cause of death.
Gabrielly’s family and friends are planning a parade in the model’s honour. A spokesperson for the Elza Gomes Martins High School where she attended said: “Her presence was always synonymous with joy, charisma, and dedication, becoming an example for young people and the entire community.” This year, Gabrielly was crowned beauty queen of the Cavalgada dos Vaqueiros annual festival in Pedra Branca. She won the Princess beauty contest at the same event a couple of years ago.
