As Christmas edges closer, while a classic chocolate advent calendar is always a tasty treat, beauty buffs can take the opportunity to try some new products courtesy of an advent calendar packed with beauty goods.

Over the years, beauty advent calendars have become bigger and better, boasting top-name products, and this year, Allbeauty’s exclusive 12 Days of Christmas Collection, which will cost shoppers £79.95, boasts everything from skin products to haircare treats. The brand says their advent calendar is “thoughtfully curated to enhance your beauty regime, offering more than just a daily surprise”, and it is the perfect way to offer up a treat-filled 12 days of festive, beauty joy.

Their 12 Days of Christmas Collection features 15 premium products, which they say are worth over £360, with a candle, scents and more included for the “perfect balance of indulgence and self-care”.

Behind each numbered drawer (some have more than one product) shoppers will find a treat with five skin products, four scents, three haircare products, two cleaners and a candle making up the beauty goods offered. The Allbeauty 12 Days of Christmas Collection can help beauty lovers embrace a ‘New Year, New You’ mindset in the run up to 2026, they say.

For each day, with a different product to open, there’s no shortage of choice, including products from British brand Sentier, who have crafted genderless fragrances, and say that at the heart of their brand philosophy lies the “belief in self-expression”. Somewhere in this advent calendar, shoppers will find Parisian Embrace 10ml and Noor Riviera 10ml, combined worth £64. To be transported to ‘strolling through the weekend banks of the Seine’, shoppers can spritz Parisian Embrace, while Noor Riviera has jasmine and gardenia taking centre stage.

For more scents, shoppers will find Shay & Blue’s Black Tulip Fragrance 10ml & Atropa Belladonna Fragrance 10ml, valued at £50. Shay & Blue’s unisex fragrances stem from their belief that “fragrance should be fun, for everyone and free from stereotypes of big brands”, and they describe Black Tulip as “oriental plum flirts with creamy white chocolate and wood”, while Atropa Belladonna is said to be heady but a trippy fragrance that is “not just for hippies”.

For those wanting a skin refresh, there’s also hidden behind a drawer a Perricone MD Vitamin C Citrus Brightening Cleanser 177ml, valued at £37, and which the brand says leaves skin looking radiant, thanks to proprietary Vitamin C Ester, which they say is a “more potent and less irritating form of vitamin C, to visibly smooth and brighten.”

Also offered is Nip & Fab’s Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow Extreme, £29.95, which is a chemical exfoliant built around glycolic acid, supplemented by fruit acids and hydrating ingredients. The idea is to apply it to clean, dry skin so the actives can work without dilution. At 100ml, it gently strips away dull surface cells to leave skin clearer and smoother.

Another offering comes from ESPA’s Overnight Glow Enzyme Peel, £45, takes the edge off the word “peel”. It’s a 30ml evening treatment that uses fruit enzymes rather than acids to deal with dull skin while shoppers get their beauty sleep.

For hair, there is Philip Kingsley’s Bond Builder Restructuring Treatment, £30, for hair that’s seen too many blow-dries or colour sessions in the salon chair. At 150ml, it’s a pre-shampoo mask that rebuilds damaged bonds inside the hair shaft, improving elasticity and shine.

Other treats shoppers will find are the Lierac Cleansing Foam 50ml and the Phyto Nutrition Nourishing Shampoo 100ml, valued at £6. Lierac’s foaming cleanser is composed of 99% natural ingredients, while Phyto’s core formula contains jojoba oil, the brand says. They also say their shampoo has no silicones, no sulphates and no colourings added.

For hands in need of a little repair, there’s a full-size Grown Alchemist Restorative Hand Cream (65ml, £18) tucked inside a drawer too. Enriched with vitamin E to protect and replenish and orange peel extract to gently revive tired skin, it’s designed to soften and smooth without leaving residue. The brand says the formula helps restore elasticity and strengthen the skin’s barrier, while the fresh citrus scent adds a subtle lift

A moisturiser from Weleda, worth £15.95 is also in the mix, as is a NEOM candle valued at £20, which is also a travel size.

As an alternative, shoppers can grab Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Treasure Chest 12 Door Beauty Advent Calendar, available for £175. It contains five full-sized icons, including the Pillow Talk Lip Cheat and Pillow Talk Collagen Lip Bath, plus seven magic minis, including Charlotte’s Magic Cream in 15ml and Charlotte’s Magic Hydration Revival Cleanser in 30ml.

Or there’s Boots’ 24 Days Of Skincare Advent Calendar, available for £70. Shoppers will find brands such as Bubble, PIXI, BYOMA and Inkey List, Soap & Glory and Garnier, plus K Beauty treasures from Anua, Haruharu, Tocobo and Round Lab, the brand says.
