A member of The Vamps has announced they’re expecting their first child.
Drummer Tristan Evans announced his relationship with the American actress earlier this year having enjoyed a romantic summer in London. Now, their relationship appears to be blossoming with the loved-up stars taking to social media to announce their joyous news.
Currently, it is not known when Nikki and Tristan met but the couple have continued to share glimpses of their relationship with online fans since going public in May this year. This year, Niki joined Tristan and his The Vamps bandmates, Bradley Simpson, Connor Ball and James Brittain-McVey on their Meet The Vamps Anniversary Tour, celebrating ten years as a band.
Nikki, 31, took to Instagram in a joint post with Tristan as they embraced one another in their back garden as Tristan, also 31, wrapped his arms around her. They captioned their upload: “Growing our love story, one tiny heartbeat at a time. Baby Evans coming April 2025.”
The actress later took to her Instagram Stories to share an array of snaps of herself and Tristan with three positive pregnancy tests. She captioned the upload: “Little baby is on the way.”
Their upload which has since been liked over 14,000 times was soon flooded with celebratory messages from fans and friends of the On The Floor hitmaker. “WOOOOOOOO reporting for uncle duties,” exclaimed Tristan’s bandmate, Connor. Meanwhile, Capital FM’s Will Manning typed: “Mate!!!! Wow. Congratulations dude.”
“Helllllll yeaaaaaah. Congrats matey,” gushed another. Loek added: “Congratulations bro!!!” Singer Mimi Webb penned: “Omg congratulations this is incredible!!!” Model Roxy Horner commented: “Yess congratulations guys.” Kirstie Brittain, the wife of James added: “This vid is too cute guys. So so sooooo exciting.” Meanwhile, fans couldn’t contain their excitement, with one commenting: “Tristan is my idol since more than 10 years and I’m so happy about this wonderful news! Congrats from the bottom of my heart.”
“Crying!! Congrats to you both,” said another excited fan. While details about Nikki and Tristan’s relationship and how they met remain unclear, it’s believed that she is his first major relationship since he split from Anastasia Ings back in 2018. Since their split, Anastasia, a hair and make up artist has gone on to marry Aston Villa ace, Danny Ings.
He also briefly dated model and OnlyFans star Lottie Moss for four months. Last year, the Exeter-born star opened up about the music industry and breaking down barriers surrounding sexuality within the business. He previously opened up about being open-minded following discussions by Harry Styles who has made several comments, admitting that people often take time to find themselves.
Styles admitted that people have their “own journey” when discovering their sexuality, explaining: “Everyone, including myself, has your own journey with figuring out sexuality and getting more comfortable with it.” Tristan previously commented: “I’m extremely open — open-minded to try anything and very experimental, sexually, and when it comes to relationships.”
Speaking to the Mirror, he said: “Everything everyone is doing it, I love it – I love people being themselves and promoting themselves and people changing what they were to become the real version of themselves, I love that.
“There’s a lot of b******t with social media but there’s a lot of positives where it can promote a good message, there are all these messages out there saying you should be who you are, you shouldn’t care what other people say or think – is the main message I love. I think that’s so powerful about social media, that can just be portrayed around the world in a matter of minutes.”
Previously, artists had been told to portray a certain image by music bosses which is no longer the case, with Harry Styles breaking several barriers. Reflecting on this, Tristan said: “Of course, it’s a crazy life. People want to do so many things and why shouldn’t you want to do them, why shouldn’t you if 10-20 years said you can’t, this is the new world.
“It’s exciting times, we’re not there yet, we’re very far away from where we want to be but we’re heading in the right direction, which is good.”
