Bukayo Saka was among the goalscorers as England cruised to a 3-0 win over Wales at Wembley Stadium which stands them in good stead for the World Cup qualifier next week vs Latvia

Roy Keane heaped praise on Arsenal sensation Bukayo Saka following his strike in England’s commanding 3-0 triumph over Wales at Wembley Stadium, though Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel has demanded even more from the talented winger. Saka and his England colleagues cruised to victory in the capital with the match virtually settled within the opening 20 minutes.

Aston Villa pair Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins had the hosts firmly in the driving seat by the eleventh minute. Rogers’ clinical effort broke the deadlock before Watkins’ poacher’s instincts made it 2-0.

But the standout moment arrived on 20 minutes when Saka delivered one of his signature moves, cutting inside before bending the ball beyond Welsh and Leeds United shot-stopper Karl Darlow. The Gunners star’s sublime effort earned him admiration from former Manchester United skipper Keane at half-time.

Speaking during the interval, Keane told ITV Sport: “We’ve seen him doing this many times. Fantastic.

“Poor from Wales, giving Saka time like this. The quality gets his [the defender’s] foot wrong with the pace.

“As soon as it left his foot, you know, it’s going to the back of the net. We see brilliant players like Saka coming in, you’ve got to get somebody across.

“We see, he does this week in week out. We know he’s shooting or crossing it.

“So we can make a lot of excuses for the Welsh players who look like they’re shell-shocked.” Despite Saka’s performance pleasing Tuchel against Wales, the former Chelsea boss insists that the Arsenal star needs to replicate his Premier League form on the international stage.

“How many goals did he score for England?” Tuchel queried. “13? One three? It has to be more, it’s not enough.

“He needs to keep on going. I thought it was 30, at least, and then I would have said it’s not enough, because I am never satisfied.

“He is such a threat for Arsenal in the most difficult league in the world, so why would he not be at international level? We have the position for him, he has the attitude, the stamina, the talent, everything to be a top player at international level, and that’s what he has to show.

“We can just encourage him to be influential, like he was today. Next game, he needs to try to repeat it.”
