A three-month-old baby has died after his cuddly dad suddenly had a heart attack and crushed the tot to death, with the man’s wife finding them both dead in bed.

Little Muhammad Nur Daniel Nurul Effendy was pinned under his father’s arm when he collapsed on top of him at their family home in Melaka, in southern Malaysia, on June 19. Dad Nurul Effendy Ibrahim, 35, was found dead in bed by his 40-year-old Azura with their baby trapped beneath him.

At first, reports local media, she thought there had been a gas leak. She told local media: “I knew something was wrong even though there was no blood.

“My husband was unconscious and our baby, who was still breathing at that time, was pinned under his arm. However, our baby looked very weak and pale.”

Dad Nurul was so heavy that it took two people to lift him off baby Mohammad, who had turned blue from the lack of oxygen, according to local media.

The tot was rushed to hospital but died while he was receiving treatment.

Relatives say that the previous night, Nurul had complained of chest pains but shrugged them off. The couple had reportedly waited 15 years for baby Muhammad, their third child.
