With phone theft cases increasing, many people are looking for accessories to keep their mobile safe from snatchers. Shopping writer Tiffany Lo has found three stylish options

There’s often a risk of losing your phone in the UK as theft cases have increased in recent years. According to The Independent, there were at least 83,900 phone theft offences recorded in the 12 months to July last year; Londoners and tourists were warned to beware of e-bikers but sometimes, it is not possible to keep your phone in pockets at all times when you need to find directions in the big smoke.

With this in mind, I decided to invest in some anti-theft accessories to keep my phone safe from snatchers in style. Wrist straps and body straps are perfect for city dwellers like me to ensure my phone is kept safe and sound.

Not only are my top picks wonderfully practical, but can also elevate your everyday look. Find out more below.

Burga Phone Charm – £19.95, was £24.95

Lithuanian tech lifestyle brand is here to put my mind at ease without losing stlylish flair. I got the Rose Pink Pearl Phone Charm to attach to my protective case (in a trendy Cherry theme) and admittedly, it is lovely to look at. It’ features pearl stones adorned with gold beads and rose quartz.

Being a person who is prone to dropping their phone, this Burga phone charm doubles as a stylish wrist band and I have to say it is incredibly strong and durable. It’s also handy when I need to fish my phone out of my oversized work tote.

The phone charm comes in different designs including a Santorini ( turquoise beaded), Assorted Dreams (big round pearls with colour beads), Rainbow Splash (mini pearls with colourful beads) and Snow Cone (teardrop pearls with muted colour stones).

Casetify Leather Chain Cross-Body Strap – £66

When I think of phone straps, I usually picture those similar to mountain climbing ropes and if you are a fashionista like me, you deserve something nicer like this Leather Chain Cross-Body Strap from Casetify. Founded in Hong Kong, the tech accessories giant has launched different types of phone straps and this one is fashionably functional.

Easily disguised as a bag strap, this weighty chain is crafted from eco-friendly leather that might remind some of you the timeless French designer bag. Unlike the rope versions, the Leather Chain Cross-Body Strap is non-adjustable but the length sits perfectly on me as the phone sit above my hip bone.

The materials are well-made, especially the rotatable round carabiner to reduce the risk of rubbing off the leather. With the capability of (literally) wearing my phone, I could go hands-free on the street.

MOFT Phone Lanyard – £29.99

This is a more of a practical option that I see myself using it when I go for hiking or any outdoor sport – it has mutliple functions that left me in awe. First the flat lanyard strap that sits comfortably without adding bulk on me whether it is over or under my coat.

The quick-release hard clips and the soft hooks lock on the lanyard to my phone is as easy as using a pinch clip. The rope-like feature allows me to toggle and adjust the length using one hand, I simply pull to shorten and release to extend it.

Apart from the standard phone patch, the MOFT lanyard also comes with a metal adhesive mount that allows me to stick it on any phone cases but they mentioned that it won’t work on bare phones, silicone or glass cases and cases with protective coating.

For £29.99, the MOFT Phone Lanyard definitely packs a bunch and you can get next day delivery when ordering from Amazon.

If you don’t like wearing straps, MOFT’s Invisible Phone Tripod Wallet, £42.99, replaces the usual phone ring (which can cause hand pain for some people) and is slim enough to fit in two cards.
