Tommy Fury has opened up on the harrowing moment he knew he needed to change or face losing his family forever. The former Love Island star-turned-boxer, 26, seemed to have it all with his lavish home life with Molly-Mae Hague and their baby daughter, as well as his flourishing career.

However, everything came crashing down following a fight in January 2024 that saw him damage his hand. Tommy was unable to train,n and the lack of discipline left his life in tatters.

He turned to drink after hitting “rock bottom”, which resulted in him losing his fiancé and two-year-old Bambi. It comes after Vogue Williams quits drinking after blacking out drunk at lavish showbiz wedding.

Molly-Mae made the drastic but understandable decision to move out of their family home as Tommy grappled with his drinking struggles. “I had enough drink to last me a lifetime in 2024,” he confessed.

“Suddenly, one day, you find that all you can do is sit down and then a few of them (drinks), it takes the pain away. You forget where you are, you forget what’s going on. And sometimes you want that feeling all the time, and that’s where obviously it starts.”

Tommy admitted: “Now, when I look at that person from back then, I don’t even recognise that guy. It’s just not me. Back then, I didn’t really care about anything. It was like the world going by, wasn’t bothered, and that’s just not me.”

The boxer hasn’t cut drink out of his life, but said he is now barely touching alcohol. “Going forward, if it’s a wedding or something like that, I might have a couple of drinks. Four or five times a week is something nobody should be doing,” he said.

Molly-Mae decided to take Tommy back, and the pair have been rekindling their romance and life with Bambi under the same roof. However, it was her upping and leaving that really got Tommy into shape.

Tommy recalled: “I woke up one morning and everything was gone, Molly and the baby had gone. That was the moment I thought, ‘wow, what’s going on?’ And that was the moment where I just started to try and change things around.”

Speaking to the Mirror earlier this month, Tommy shared his pain of being alone in their Cheshire mansion. He spent a lot of time “sitting in a big dark room” by himself.

He told us: “That’s what I was doing most days. When you’re in a big house all by yourself, you think about a lot of things, and you wish you could never go down that road, but it’s happened.”

Last summer, the couple shocked fans with their split announcement. Soon after, rumours started to spread that Tommy had cheated on Molly-Mae, leaving him “horrified”.

At the time, a spokesperson for Tommy furiously denied the claims. They told the Mirror: “Tommy is horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media and he’s consulting his lawyers.” The dad-of-one was said to be “distraught” as he knew the allegations couldn’t be further from the truth.
