TV writer Jake Hackney has pulled together his Black Friday top picks including deals on Samsung smart TVs, Sky bundles and Ninja air fryers
We’re now a week away from Black Friday, with countless brands offering big savings on tech products. Despite Black Friday officially taking place on November 29, some of our favourite brands like Sky, Virgin Media and O2 launched their sales earlier in the month.
Now more and more brands are joining the fun, better late than never. That’s why for this edition of Top Tech, we thought we’d pull together some of the best Black Friday deals we’ve seen throughout the month from Amazon, Sky, Ninja and Dyson.
First up is Amazon, which finally started its Black Friday sale on Thursday (November 21) and unveiled discounts on popular tech including Fire TV Sticks, Ring Doorbells and Fire TVs. There’s also eye-catching deals on a raft of high-spec Samsung gadgets, including £200 off the Samsung Galaxy S24 at £599, down from £799.

But one of our favourite Amazon deals is on the 50” Samsung Q60D QLED 4K smart TV, which is now more than a third off at £434.14. This Black Friday offer is £264.86 off the usual £699 and the cheapest it’s ever been, according to price tracker camelcamelcamel.
Released earlier this year, the Samsung QLED TV has Quantum Dots that deliver ‘lifelike and accurate’ colour and also features immersive Object Tracking Sound Lite, which chooses which of the TVs front speakers the sound comes through to follow the action on screen. It’s also a good buy for gamers as it features the Samsung Gaming Hub, which provides access to the latest games from Xbox, Blacknut, Nvidia and more straight from the TV.
Those in the market for a new TV may also want to consider Sky’s Black Friday sale, which has seen £165 knocked off a Sky Glass bundle. Sky Glass is the provider’s own 4K UHD smart TV with Sky TV and streaming apps built in, eliminating the need for a Sky box or aerial.
Plans usually start at £42 when spreading the cost for the 43” model, but Sky has reduced this to £33, with the 55” model now £38. A Sky Glass plan includes more than 100 channels and a Netflix subscription with Sky’s Ultimate TV Package, including top channels like Sky Atlantic and Sky Documentaries, plus voice control and personalised recommendations.
But it’s not all about TVs, as Ninja has unveiled a brand-new range of air fryers especially for Black Friday. The popular kitchen brand has released new models of several of its most sought after appliances that now come in a ‘chic’ copper and black finish and come with free silicone tongs and an apron worth more than £30 combined.
The new devices include Ninja’s Deluxe Air Fryer MAX PRO and the Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, which have been reduced to £129.99 and £189.99 respectively. But perhaps the most enticing deal is on the Double Stack XL 2-Drawer Air Fryer, which is down to £219 from £269.99.
While not the biggest discount we’ve seen, the Double Stack proved immensely popular when it launched earlier this year. The space-saving device comprises two vertically stacked drawers that can cook four layers of food with the included Stacked Meal racks, which Ninja says is ideal for feeding up to eight people.
The versatile air fryer has six cooking presets including Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate and Reheat, and cooks using up to 55 percent less energy than an oven, according to Ninja. For more home gadgets, it’s also worth taking a look at Dyson’s Black Friday sale.
While a new vacuum cleaner may not be the most exciting purchase, the chance to save up to £200 on these highly-rated devices is worth shouting about. One of the more affordable vacuums in Dyson’s sale is the Dyson V8 Advanced, which has seen a £100 price drop to £229.99.
This model is touted as Dyson’s ‘most powerful V8 ever’ and boasts 10 percent more suction than previous models, as well as up to 40 minutes of ‘fade-free’ suction power and de-tangling technology to easily tackle hair. There’s also £150 off the Dyson Cyclone V10 Total Clean at £299, which offers powerful suction, de-tangling technology, three power modes and up to 60 minutes run time.
