A video of the terrifying water slide was shared on Instagram, as people were seen experiencing the sheer ’90-degree drop’. Many people were startled the attraction is still in operation

Water slide thrill-seekers are quaking in their swimsuits over a terrifying waterpark chute in Greece that promises ‘sheer terror’ due to its extreme drop.

The jaw-dropping attraction, reportedly situated in Rhodes, boasts almost a 90-degree plummet which is certainly not for the faint of heart.

An Instagram clip from @uniladadventure showcasing the severe slide has gone viral with the caption: “How is this water slide in Greece even open?

The footage features daredevils being momentarily airborne mid-drop and has already garnered over 127,000 likes. One person was left baffled, commenting: “That’s a waterfall, not a water slide,” while another added: “What in the 90 degrees.”

Someone else humorously claimed it “drops you all the way to Hades.” While another confessed: “Oh my god I think this is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen.”

A further comment revealed nostalgic yet fearful memories, saying: “In Canada we used to have slides like this in wild water kingdom and they took them away. This unlocked memories of sheer terror and the most fun I’ve ever had at a water park.”

Several people said they’d seen the slide up close and personal while on holiday there, as one person wrote: “This water slide is real and it’s located in Rhodes. It’s design is old enough so the it’s too steep after the first drop as a result you get a massive airborne effect.”

Another holidaymaker chimed in: “I am currently in Rhodes. I was there two days ago, and yes, that’s what I thought while standing in front of these.”

A third person added their experience, saying: “I went on this when I was like 10. For a split second I thought I was done for.”
