The Celebrity Traitors are said to receive better meal offerings than their civilian counterparts according to a contestant from the first series, who opened up on life in the castle
As fans watch the first batch of UK celebrities take on The Traitors castle, one former contestant admits they appear to being getting treated very differently. As the famous faces currently on screen are seen tucking into lavish lunches, ex star of the civilian version, Rayan Rachedi, has confirmed this certainly wasn’t the case on his series.
The Londoner appeared on the first series of the hit BBC reality show and finished a lowly 13th. Taking to Twitter /X, Rayan uploaded an image of the stars with large portions of steak at dinner time.
He commented: “I can assure you steak was NOT an option at dinner for the non-celebrity series. #CelebrityTraitors ” He then added a crying emoji face.

Fans were quick to also pick up on the delicacies. One user replied: “oh these celebs are having it goooodddd,” with a broken heart emoji.
Rayan jokingly replied that he “couldn’t be a**ed” to be famous but the idea of steak had him rethinking things. When another questioned what they were served up, he responded: “It’s pretty regular canteen vibes – some proteins (usually chicken for the meat eaters).
“Some greens, occasionally something a bit fun like mac and cheese or enchiladas (I liked these a lot) or fried chicken (I didn’t like this because I was about to be voted off). I’d say 7/10.”
The current celeb series has seen fans watch on as twist after twist hits the screen. The drama has left viewers on the edge of their seats, with Wednesday’s edition seeing Charlotte Church be the latest murdered star.
The singer had set her sights on Jonathan Ross. But while Wossy faced some speculation at the roundtable, it was Mark Bonnar and David Olusoga who got the most votes.
The episode ended on nailbiting cliffhanger as a second round of votes ended in a draw. Then, Claudia announced that Mark and David’s fate would be decided by “chance”.
It was declared as the ‘best episode ever’ after the series’ major first in the format. Viewers instantly rushed to social media to voice their opinions, with one user writing: “The banishment by fate twist has always been in the rules but I never thought we’d ever see it in action. Absolute cinema. #CelebrityTraitors.”
Another said: “Probably one of the best episodes of traitors I’ve seen. Can’t wait for tomorrow.”
It’s left fans wondering what tonight’s edition will have in star. While some questioned if a coin toss was in contention, others remembered the Death Card twist from last season.
In it, the final two players had cards laid out in front of them and had to take it in turns to pick one. If they picked the single death card, their game was over.
