We have reached the halfway point of the January transfer window and clubs are expected to ramp up their business before the window slams shut.
Earlier this week, it emerged that Arsenal are closing in on the £51million signing of Liverpool and Manchester City target Martin Zubimendi and they are also eyeing a new striker after Gabriel Jesus was ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury.
Marcus Rashford’s looming departure from Manchester United has taken up the most column inches of late, with AC Milan and Barcelona still vying for his services. However, a number of other academy graduates have also been linked with departures, including Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
Over at Liverpool, they’re set to keep hold of Trent Alexander-Arnold until at least the summer, with Real Madrid putting their attempts to sign him on hold. It also remains to be seen what the future holds for Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, with their contracts also due to expire at the end of the season.
