Vicky Pattison took to Instagram to praise ‘amazing’ Pete Wicks but admitted she was too caught up in Strictly Come Dancing to celebrate him properly

Vicky Pattison praises best friend Pete Wicks

Vicky Pattison has hopped onto to social media to praise her best mate Pete Wicks on his recent “incredible achievements” and admitted that she would have done it sooner had she not been in her “Strictly bubble”.

The Geordie Shore star made her Strictly live show debut on Saturday (27 September), but has been rehearsing for weeks. Shortly after, she took to Instagram to celebrate Pete’s recent podcast performance at the O2 and share a sweet message about her best friend.

“I’ve been in my strictly bubble so much this last couple weeks that I haven’t had a chance to properly celebrate my best friends incredible achievement,” Vicky wrote in the caption of a post.

She shared pictures of her, Pete and their other friends backstage at the O2 gig, including JLS’ Marvin Humes and his Saturdays wife Rochelle, actor James Buckley and Strictly pro dancer Jowita Przystal.

“@p_wicks01 watching you and @samthompsonuk perform at the O2 to a sold out crowd of around 16,000 people who were all hanging on your every word and having so much fun was one of the best moments of my life!!! I have never been so proud!!!

“You are amazing… and no one deserves this success more!!!! I love you SO MUCH!!!!! Well done to the entire @stayingrelevantpodcast team for putting on an incredible show and big shoutout to this amazing lot I got to spend the night with.”

Pete promised Vicky he would be in the front row for her first performance as she had admitted she was incredibly nervous about the show.

She joked about feeling like a “sausage in a skin” in her sequined outfit for the launch show but added that she was “grateful” for the experience.

“Strictly offers this incredible opportunity to grow whether that’s learning to dance, meeting new people, or just getting fitter. It’s a chance to discover what you’re capable of, and I’m really grateful for that.”

Vicky and her dance partner Kai Widdrington took to the Strictly floor on Saturday for a Cha Cha Cha. Dancing to Ella Eyre’s Best Of My Love, the pair came seventh on the leaderboard with a total of 23 points.

Pete was on Strictly last year and made it to the semi-finals. The Towie star was partnered with Jowita, who he is now rumoured to be dating after the pair were seen smooching on stage at the O2. Reps for both Pete and Jowita have said the three kisses they shared meant nothing.

This year, Jowita is partnered with Ross King. The duo also did a Cha Cha Cha, but finished bottom of the leaderboard with only 10 points.
