There’s also a hefty amount of cash available for those who want to cut down their existing bill

Virgin Media is back again with one of its popular TV deals that see all new customers bag a free LG device without paying a single penny for it. All you have to do is pick a plan that suits you and your household.

Picking the right TV deal is a tricky feat, as we speak, rivals Sky are hosting their own streaming sale, where shoppers can find discounts of as much as £144 on Sky Stream, Sky Glass, and Sky Sports plans. And John Lewis’ competitive sale event may urge consumers to ditch pay-as-you-go plans for their new device and opt for a cheaper Panasonic screen upfront.

However, if locking into a lengthy 18 month or 24 month contract is better for your budget, then Virgin Media is one of the best options. And its newest eye-catching deal will get you a swanky smart TV for free, worth £250 when you sign up.

All customers who pick a ‘Bigger’ plan will qualify for the shiny 43-inch TV, and if a new gogglebox doesn’t suit there’s always the option of its parallel £250 bill credit – essentially cashback, given to new plan customers who can use the money to drop the price of their bill.

However, it’s not available on all of Virgin Media’s plans and like similar deals we’ve covered in the past shoppers will have to ensure they pick the right plan with the right channels to make the mega saving. Customers will need to pick one of the following four qualifying plans:

If you’re reading this having locked into the provider’s earlier free TV deal ahead of the Euros in May, you’ll spot that the included plans rarely change.

Anyone who wants to catch up on their favourite films, or series will want to pick the Movie Combo Bundle, as it comes with the 200 normal TV channels and includes Sky Cinema and 11 kids TV channels, and ultrafast fibre broadband. The plan which gives shoppers the ‘most for their buck’ is the Mega Volt Bundle.

It includes an O2 SIM (which isn’t on any of the other plans) as well as more than 230 channels with Sky Sports, Sky Cinema HD and ultrafast fibre broadband with download speeds of 1130Mbps. Anyone with an eye on the Bigger Sports HD Bundle at Virgin Media may also want to peek at Sky’s own deal.

Sky’s rival TV sale isn’t handing out any free LG TVs or £250 bill credit but it does have a big price drop that seems too good to ignore. Anyone who fancies the Sky Stream, TV, Sports, and Netflix plan can currently save £144 across the full 18-month plan.

Of course, Amazon Prime Day is just under two weeks away, so eager streaming fans may also want to wait for its full Fire TV price drops to appear.
