Wetherspoon has confirmed prices will be cut in 770 pubs from Thursday, January 2 until Thursday, January 16, or from Friday, January 3 until Thursday, January 16 in Scotland
Wetherspoon has confirmed its January sale is returning next week – with pints of beer starting from 99p.
The pub chain has confirmed prices will be cut in 770 Wetherspoon pubs from Thursday, January 2 until Thursday, January 16, or from Friday, January 3 until Thursday, January 16 in Scotland. The majority of these boozers will be serving a pint of beer between 99p and £1.49.
The drinks featured in the sale include real ale (Worthington’s, Ruddles, Greene King and Doom Bar), Coldwater Creek wine (250ml glass of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Rose, Merlot), a range of low and alcohol-free drinks (Guinness 0.0%, Gordon’s pink gin 0.0%, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Heineken 0.0, Erdinger, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, Adnams Ghost Ship, Beck’s Blue, and a selection of soft drinks including Pepsi Max, Pepsi Max Cherry, R. Whites Lemonade.
The average sale prices across the pubs include a pint of Worthington’s at 99p, a pint of Ruddles or Greene King at £1.29, a pint of Belhaven at £1.49 and a pint of Doom Bar at £1.49. More than 650 of the pubs will be offering a glass of Coldwater Creek wine (250ml) for £2.49 and almost all of the pubs will be serving low and alcohol-free drinks for £1.49.
In addition, 660 of the pubs will serve Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate (including refills) for £1.29. Wetherspoon punters can also enjoy a choice of three breakfast offers priced at £2.99, a choice of any muffins (including one which contains fried egg, sausage, bacon, American style cheese), a sausage or bacon butty or any breakfast wrap (including one which contains fried egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, cheddar cheese).
All breakfast offers include free refills of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, or a choice of soft drink. For mains, the sale options include three burger meal deals (with chips and a drink) including the 3oz American burger, 3oz classic beef burger or Crunchy chicken strip burger.
The average price across the pubs is £6.52 (including an alcoholic drink) and £4.99 (including a non-alcoholic drink). Wetherspoon has also cut the price of its hotels in January 2025, with rooms available for between £49 and £69, depending on location (except Saturdays).
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pubs too. The range of drinks and food on sale in the pubs is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes. This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks. I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers. As always, staff at the pubs will serve customers responsibly.”
