Arsenal continue their UEFA Champions League campaign on Tuesday as they face the La Liga side at the Emirates Stadium.

Bukayo Saka wore the captain’s armband as he led Arsenal to a 1-0 win against Fulham on Saturday.

Arsenal continue their UEFA Champions League campaign tonight as they face Atletico Madrid. Mikel Arteta’s men host the Spanish side at the Emirates in the third round of League Phase fixtures.

Arsenal will look to maintain their perfect record in the competition so far this season having won their opening two fixtures. Their previous games against Athletic Club and Olympiacos both ended in comfortable 2-0 wins, leaving Arsenal sitting fifth in the Champions League table on goal difference.

Their opponents tonight trail in 10th place after a last-minute 3-2 loss to Liverpool and a convincing 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. The Gunners head into tonight’s game on an impressive run that’s seen them sitting top of the Premier League table three points clear of Man City.

They held onto a 1-0 lead to secure all three points in their clash with Fulham on Saturday, with Leandro Trossard netting the winner from a Bukayo Saka corner. Yet another clean sheet means Arsenal have only conceded three goals all season

However, it’s not all been smooth sailing, as Arsenal were forced to apologise to Atletico Madrid after they were left without hot water in the Emirates dressing room showers after training at the stadium, The Times reported. The issue was reportedly resolved within 40 minutes of Arsenal being alerted and before Atletico had been due to finish training, but Diego Simeone’s side headed to their hotel early.

Unlike most Champions League games, tonight’s fixture against Atletico Madrid will not be broadcast on TNT Sports, but there is a way to watch the game completely free.
