Luke ‘the Nuke’ Littler is into the World Championship semi-final after a dazzling New Year’s Day display
Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler once again has the nation gripped thanks to his outrageous talent on the oche. The 17-year-old cruised to a comfortable win over major winner Nathan Aspinall in a New Year’s Day quarter final clash, with the young darting prodigy set to face crowd favourite, Stephen Bunting in the semis tonight.
The 17-year-old hit 15 maximums, taking his tally for the tournament past the half-century mark, and capitalised on Aspinall’s inability to finish his own opportunities as he made it look relatively comfortable. Littler has won an incredible 10 senior Professional Darts Corporation events since turning 17 – including the Premier League, Grand Slam and World Series titles – and is now the biggest name in the sport.

Recently launched by Target, the new Littler darts feature 90% Tungsten barrels, now available in an eye-catching silver and gold design that Target claims brings “elegance and exclusivity, inspired by the world of collectable trading cards”.
The G1 Prodigy set is not just about looks; it includes Target’s Swiss DX Points which ensure a seamless fit with the barrel and boast a laser-etched pattern for improved grip and precise entry into the dartboard.
This latest Littler offering provides two-point length options – 26mm and 30mm – and comes with a premium gold Swiss Point key tool for swift point changes. Completing the set are purple K-Flex flights, part of Target’s renowned all-in-one flight system.

Target Darts Luke Littler Cabinet and Dartboard Set – £59.99
Another gift option that’s perfect for older kids is the Target Darts Luke Littler Cabinet and Dartboard Set, priced at £59.99 on Amazon.
The dart set bundle is a real steal, coming complete with a dartboard, cabinet, and two sets of darts. However, it’s worth noting that the included brass darts don’t quite match up to tungsten quality.
The set also boasts score charts and a competition standard throw line. A satisfied customer shared their thoughts: “Excellent product for the price, looks really good. Darts aren’t the best but a really good starter set for someone.”
Meanwhile, another buyer advised caution, noting, “because it’s so heavy, you do need to check that you have a good wall to fasten it to (unfortunately, our plasterboard walls weren’t up to the job).”
