P. Fluid, real name Peter Forrest, was found dead aged 64 in NYC

Popular 80s singer P. Fluid, real name Peter Forrest, had been found dead aged 64.

Forrest was found ‘lying in a pool of blood’ in the back of a private ambulette in New York today. He was reportedly also badly beaten.

He is said to be a driver for the company and when he was found the vehicle’s front door was shattered, MailOnline reports.

When police responded to a 911 call they found Forrest unresponsive and unconscious. He was then pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.

The outlet reports that Forrest’s co-workers became concerned when they didn’t hear from him. He failed to make his scheduled pickups and was last seen at 8am on Monday.

After failing to contact him, Forrest’s colleagues traced his ambulette to the Bronx. He was found in a pool of blood when they arrived.

One day after the discovery, Forrest’s death was ruled a homicide by police. No arrests have been made and authorities are investigating the death.

Going by P. Fluid, Forrest was best known as a founding member of hardcore rock band 24/7 Spyz who made it their mission in the 80s to prove there were other genres outside of hip hop that black musicians could excel in.

Perhaps 24/7 Spyz’s most famous gig was opening for world-famous metal group Jane’s Addiction in 90 and 91. 24/7 Spyz formed in the Bronx in 1986 and released two albums.
