Speaking to British Vogue in November 2021 about her initial motivation, she revealed: “It was because of my anxiety”.

“Working out, I would just feel better. It was never about losing weight, it was always about becoming strong and giving myself as much time every day without my phone

“I got quite addicted to it. I work out two or three times a day.”

The 37-year-old’s routine included weightlifting in the morning, hiking or boxing in the afternoon, and cardio in the evening. However, she revealed that shedding pounds was just one of the many benefits of her newfound fitness regime, which she adopted amidst the breakdown of her marriage.

“I needed to get addicted to something to get my mind right,” she explained. “It could have been knitting, but it wasn’t.”

The ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer also dismissed any rumours about using a fad diet for her transformation.

In her interview with Vogue, she stated: “You know 100% of the stories written about me have been absolutely fake,” adding that she hasn’t “done any diet”.
