Lucy-Jo Hudson met I’m a Celebrity’s Alan Halsall on Coronation Street, and broke her silence to clarify where they stood with each other after a dramatic divorce

Lucy-Jo Hudson, 41, has taken to Instagram to assure fans that there’s no bad blood between her and her ex.

Fellow Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, 42, is currently down under in I’m a Celebrity, and touched upon his marriage to Lucy-Jo while opening up to his campmates. Soon after the bonding moment, Lucy-Jo shared a long post on social media to tell her own side of the story.

“Just wanted to put the record straight. First of all, me and my ex have been divorced seven years. I actually can’t believe it’s a topic of conversation because it’s pretty boring,” she wrote.

The former couple shares a daughter, Sienna-Rae, who was born in September 2013, and Lucy-Jo also addressed her co-parenting setup with Alan.

“We share Sienna 50/50. We communicate. She’s a happy kid,” she said, adding, “We get on great. We have to work out weekends what we’re swapping, certain days he wants, certain days I want. We’re constantly communicating because it’s important for Sienna and to plan what we’re doing. We don’t want her missing out so we change things for each other.”

Ending her statement, Lucy-Jo spoke about her new partner, Lewis Devine, with whom she shares a son, Carter, born in 2020. The actress concluded on a happy note, saying that the blended family were all behind Alan on I’m a Celeb.

“Second of all, myself and Lewis will be sat down with Sienna watching the jungle. We wish him nothing but the best,” she said.

Lucy-Jo’s post came after Alan mentioned her in the jungle while talking about his dating life.

He divulged: “Lucy left Corrie in about 2005, then we got married in 2009. We then split up after Sienna was born. I love what I’ve got, even now I’m on my own, I love it when it’s me and Sienna and that’ll change I’m sure, that’ll be different at some point but I’ve never done dating apps.”

Despite the positive words shared by both Lucy-Jo and Alan about their situation, they’ve had plenty of drama in the past. Alan raged against Lucy-Jo and Lewis on Instagram when they shared the happy news about Carter’s birth, and suggested that their co-parenting wasn’t all smooth sailing.

“You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one and call her your own! But not my daughter,” he wrote, before shortly deleting the comment. A source also claimed that the former couple doesn’t speak, in contrast to Lucy-Jo’s clarification.

“Alan and Lucy-Jo still aren’t on speaking terms. If Alan needs anything he goes through her boyfriend Lewis. They both want what’s best for their daughter Sienna but they won’t communicate. Things are just as bad as when they first fell out,” the insider said.
