It has been a;lleged that footballer Andy Carroll returned to the former marital home he shared with The Only Way Is Essex star wife Billi Mucklow while she was out

Andy Carroll has allegedly sneaked into the old home he used to share with soon-to-be ex-wife Billi Mucklow while her back was turned.

The 35-year-old football ace married former The Only Way Is Essex star Billi, 36, in 2022 but announced their shock split earlier this year. The couple are said to be selling their marital home – which is believed to be worth £8.5 million – and he has since moved on to start dating celebrity make-up artist Lou Teasdale, 42.

But a new report has suggested that Andy entered the old house he used to share with Billi while she was not home. It has been alleged the striker waited for the reality star beauty to be out. Billi shares sons Arlo and Wolf and daughter Marvel Mae with Andy and was also step-mum to his kids Emilie Rose, 15, and Lucas, 14 from a past relationship.

It is suggested that Andy was captured on CCTV entering the former family home – leaving Billi furious. It is suggested the former couple have an agreement that he will stay away from the home and the ex-Towie star is far from pleased to see him popping up on security footage.

A source told The Sun: “Since the split, Andy had agreed to stay away from the house but sneaked in while she was out — leaving Billi fuming. Even though he owns the house, she doesn’t expect him to just turn up when he wants now that he’s left her. It seems he wanted to collect some belongings but he didn’t tell her. But he was busted the moment he entered the property as Billi was alerted to his movements on their home CCTV, connected to her phone.” The Mirror has approached representatives of Billi and Andy for comment.

The collapse of Andy and Billi’s marriage was revealed in September – although the couple had split months earlier. The footballer said in a statement: “Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings. It has been a hard few months for our family and we continue to move forward amicably for our children.”

A source at the time told The Sun: “Andy and Billi care about each other a lot and have made some great memories together, but decided it was best for the family if they went their separate ways having grown apart. They’re still focusing on the kids and being the best parents they can be and being respectful of each other. They want the process to be straightforward for everyone involved. Andy has been throwing himself into his football.”

On Friday, Billi celebrated the birthday of her second son, Wolf, sharing a photo of him on Instagram posing beside a huge cake. The proud mum wrote: “Happy 7th Birthday My Wolfie Boy. My naughty cheeky happy little man! I love you so much.” Eldest son Arlo is nine while daughter Marvel Mae is four.
