Tipping the scales at 165g and measuring just 5.1mm thick, this is the first Apple smartphone in the brand’s ‘Air’ range, a series of slim and lightweight devices which until now only included iPads and MacBooks. The iPhone Air is crafted with a Grade 5 titanium frame built with 80% recycled titanium, which Apple claims makes the handset ‘as strong as it is stunning’, reports the Daily Record.
The device also features a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display, shielded by a durable Ceramic Shield on both the front and back, making it four times more crack-resistant and offering three times better scratch resistance than the iPhone 16, according to Apple. The gadget is powered by the latest-generation A19 Pro chip, which Apple claims is ‘the fastest processor in any smartphone’, ensuring even the most demanding tasks are handled smoothly.

For photography enthusiasts, the phone comes equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera system, providing two advanced cameras for capturing images in ‘super-high-resolution’, along with an 8MP Centre Stage front camera. The iPhone Air will be shipped with iOS 26 out of the box, which introduces standout features such as liquid glass, a striking new design that reflects and refracts what’s on screen.
There’s also a more vibrant and dynamic lock screen, call hold assist and call screening, which automatically answers unknown callers to ascertain their name and reason for calling before you pick up. Apple Intelligence is leading the way on the phone, with a plethora of AI features designed to simplify life, such as live translation, photo clean up and visual intelligence.
This allows users to search, ask questions and interact with the content on their iPhone screen. The iPhone Air comes in three storage options – 256GB, 512GB and 1TB – and is available in four stylish colours: Sky Blue, Cloud White, Light Gold and Space Black.
