The final stretch of the season and underway and the biggest matches of Arsenal’s season are too come. There is less than a week until the Gunners’ first leg against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.

First up is Everton however, as Mikel Arteta and co cling onto a faint hope of narrowing the gap to Liverpool in the Premier League. The Spaniard may be more likely to simply hope to come through the fixture unscathed such are his current injury concerns.

Gabriel Magalhaes has become the latest Arsenal star to be ruled out for the rest of the season with Arteta left sweating over his backline. The pressure will be on to find an answer if the north London side want to find success this term.

Arsenal make enquiry

Arsenal have made an enquiry for Wolfsburg star Mohamed Amoura ahead of the summer transfer window. L’Equipe report that the Gunners, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest have all shortlisted the forward as they look to strengthen their hands.

Amoura is on loan at Wolfsburg from Union Saint-Gilloise and produced 10 goals and nine assists in 27 Bundesliga outings in 2024/25. The 24-year-old set to join Wolfsburg permanently this summer as part of his loan agreement.

The Bundesliga side could be persuaded to cash in however, after paying close to £14million for the star. They are set to demand up to £33.5m for his signature.

Fixture moved

Arsenal’s clash with Crystal Palace has been rescheduled to Wednesday 23 April after the Eagles’ progression to the semi-final of the FA Cup. The pair were due to meet on April 26, but Palace overcame Fulham to reach the tournament’s final four at Wembley.

Oliver Glasner’s side will now face Aston Villa that weekend, but will see their preparations imposed upon when they travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal just days before. Arteta’s side will find themselves with a free weekend ahead of a possible Champions League semi-final clash, should they progression past Real Marid.

Gabriel return timeframe

Arsenal are hoping that Gabriel will be fit again to feature at the start of next season, having been ruled out of the remainder of this campaign. The Brazil defender is set to go under the knife in the coming days to fix his hamstring injury, and his recovery plan aims to see him back to fitness in time for August.
