Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title have been predicted following an impressive victory over the weekend. The Gunners beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium as they returned to winning ways after the international break.

The win over Forest still leaves Arsenal three points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table. The Merseyside outfit recorded a 1-0 win away at Burnley on Sunday afternoon, with the victory courtesy of a stoppage-time penalty from Mohamed Salah.

There are still 34 matches left to play in the Premier League this season before the campaign draws to a close. Despite this, a prediction has already emerged claiming to provide insight into how Arsenal will fare this term.

Opta Analyst have provided their prediction for what they believe the final Premier League table will look like at the end of the season. They have crunched the numbers and predict that Arsenal will finish second for the fourth season in a row, with 74 points (74.48) mirroring their tally from the last term.

Liverpool are tipped to clinch the Premier League title for the second year running with 80 points (80.41). This would be four points less than their previous haul, which won the title last season, but crucially, six points more than Arsenal, according to the prediction.

The prediction also suggests that Arsenal have a 25.78 percent chance of clinching the Premier League title, a significantly lower probability than the 52.93 percent likelihood attributed to Liverpool.

Chelsea and Manchester City are predicted to round off the top four, both expected to end up with 66 points, while Newcastle United are tipped to secure fifth place with 58.5 points. Burnley, Wolves and Sunderland are the three clubs predicted to face the drop to the Championship.
