Comedian Rachel Jackson has shared another update after a clip of her went viral.
The Scottish BBC star, 37, hit headlines in recent days after footage of her in a Tennessee Nashville airport in August 2023 went viral. In her latest post, she wrote: “History will repeat itself until a lesson is learned.”
The words were shared on her Instagram Stories, which included an image of Britney Spears with a shaven head and a broken umbrella.
In the clip that has gone viral, Outlander star Rachel was seen having tense altercation with officers before her eventual arrest. The incident began when staff at the Delta Airlines lounge called the police after Rachel, who had a British Airways ticket, walked into the lounge without a pass.
When police arrived, Rachel refused to budge and was then arrested following a tense altercation with officers. She asked to be left alone, but when officers tried to defuse the situation, she answered: “Get your hands off me!” When police told her to stop and listen to him, she said: “No, I’m not.” The police officer then informed the star she would not be allowed to board her flight, which appeared to anger her even more. The comedian said: “By the captain, and I listen to captain’s orders – ’cause I’ve seen Titanic, I’ve seen Titanic. I am White Lotus, I am Titanic.”
Shortly after she was handcuffed. This led to Rachel screaming for passerbys to help her before she refused to get into the police car. She also insisted her wrists were in pain from the handcuffs. Although the incident is almost two years old, it was only recently shared on YouTube channel Body Cam Edition and gained over a million views.
The comic was also tagged in the post. In May last year, she hinted at mental health struggles in a post shared on her Instagram. Along with a selfie, she penned: “I’ve got my sparkle back. Think I was a bit dead behind the eyes for a while. I had so many mental and physical health problems in Tennessee and was messed about with so many medications. It fried me. I’m now on the right medication for my complicated yet brilliant brain.”
