The dry shampoo is a new addition to Color Wow’s haircare range and shoppers say it’s ‘easy to blend in’ and ‘looks natural’
Color Wow is known for its hard-working viral haircare products including the popular Dream Coat Supernatural Spray, and now the brand has released a dry shampoo which has been hailed ‘perfect’ by Space NK shoppers. At £26.50, there’s no denying the dry shampoo is pricey, but beauty fans are impressed.
Haircare lovers have awarded the Insta Wow Advanced Dry Shampoo an average rating of 4.6 stars out of a possible five on the Space NK website. The product has been developed to try and negate the common complaints associated with dry shampoos. It claims to be virtually free from residues, leaving locks feeling freshly washed.
The dry shampoo also helps to keep hair feeling soft and silky, and contains olive leaf extract to help prevent scalp flaking too. The formula has been specially created to rebalance the scalp’s microbiome whilst also helping to normalise excess sebum production.
For those who want to make sure their locks smell fresh too, the product also features an a deodorising formula to help prevent odours, whilst also boasting anti-whitening properties to stop that pesky tell-tale cast on the hair.
Other dry shampoos that shoppers rate include the Arkive’s The Reset Dry Shampoo which is down from £14 to £11.20 at LookFantastic. One shopper said: “Only used it for a couple weeks following a recommendation from a hairdresser on TikTok; no white residue and the gorgeous fragrance lasts all day.”
They continued: “I use it at least 2-3 times a week and sometimes it has a lot to do as my hair gets quite oily! I’m hoping it’s kinder to my hair than the brand I’ve been using long term.” I have also tried this dry shampoo and love the perfume-like scent.

Another option is the Colab Supersize Overnight Renew Dry Shampoo Three Pack which is available at Amazon for £12.59. This is one of my favourite budget-friendly options, and Amazon shoppers seem to agree with one writing: “I never liked using dry shampoo and if I ever did, I couldn’t see any difference in my hair, barely at all, but when I saw this I thought I’d give it a go.
They continued: “It has a very pleasant and gentle smell and when you get up in the morning and brush your hair, it really does look a whole lot better, good stuff.”
Space NK reviewers have also been raving about the Color Wow Insta Wow Advanced Dry Shampoo, with one saying: “This dry shampoo refreshes my roots without the heavy powdery feel I usually dislike. It’s easy to blend in and gives my hair a light lift that looks natural. I wouldn’t call it a full replacement for a wash, but it works really well to stretch an extra day between shampoos.”
Despite this, one shopper was less impressed, writing as part of a lengthy review: “First off, the so-called “virtually no residue” claim is laughable. It left an intense white cast that made me look like I had aged 40 years or dusted my scalp with flour. And no matter how much I brushed it through or tried to blend it, it clung on like chalk dust.”
However, another commenter disagreed, saying: “I was very excited when I spotted Color Wow were releasing a dry shampoo, as I love the brand. I have bangs and a few days after hair wash day, I really need dry shampoo. There’s a lovely fresh scent from the spray and it does not leave a white residue which is a pet peeve of mine! Will definitely re buy when I run out.”
A further review reads: “This is the best dry shampoo I’ve ever tried. So worth paying the extra money. I used to have to wash my hair everyday because of how oily it is but now I can just spray this and it keeps it fresh and not oily so I have to wash my hair every 2-3 days instead which is incredible.”
