Retailers are helping shoppers save this January as we round up the tech sales worth shopping – including 50% off home devices that’ll help you cut your energy bill this winter

Along with blustery cold weather and new fitness plans January also brings a wave of sales. And to kick-off 2025 brands including Virgin Media, Sky, Samsung, and Dyson are offering huge price cuts for shoppers.

At the top of the sales are Virgin Media and Sky , both offering price cuts on various broadband, TV and combo bundles. Both come as an increase of households look for cheaper prices before the looming spring price hikes – which usually hit in April.

Despite launching hundreds of pounds off viral hair care tools at the beginning of December – like the stylish AirWrap – Dyson’s Winter Sale is still lingering and available to shop to. There’s also something in it for rival Shark shoppers – as it offers up to £150 off cordless vacuums.

Virgin tops the sales with £500 TV and broadband offer

When it comes to broadband and TV providers we can’t help but ignore Virgin Media’s up to £500 off Winter Sale. It’s been around since December 27 but still around to shop until February 5 – so plenty of time to shop around and find the plan for you.

The provider is offering a huge £504 discount on its Biggest Combo bundle plan, the largest saving in its Winter Sale. With a new monthly price of £69 instead of the usual £97 – the catch being you have to commit to a long 18-month contract.

Dyson cuts £150 off hair tools and cordless vacuums – but it ends soon

Another sale that launched before Christmas and is still around to shop is Dyson’s Winter Event – where you’ll find hundreds cut off hair styling tools, cordless vacuums, and household heaters.

The popular AirStrait tool – which uses air over heat to straighten hair (even when wet) and the Supersonic hairdryer are on offer in the sale with as much as £150 off in price.

Sky cuts £120 of TV bill

Another on for household bill payers – if you need to upgrade your broadband TV or mobile bills this New Year it’s one worth looking at. Specifically its Sky Full Fibre and Sky Essential plan – buy here – which combines 150Mbps broadband, Sky Stream, it’s new Essential TV package (with Sky Atlantic) and Netflix all for a new £35 per month price – which save shoppers a huge £120 off the total bill.

Get a free Chromebook laptop at Samsung

If you’re on the lookout for a new mobile then we have to point out one of Samsung’s latest offers – on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Of course you need to be in dire need of a new mobile to justify its £1,000 plus price but there is currently a £100 off deal…but that’s not all. No, it’s the free gift shoppers can claim that stood out to us.

Anyone who buys the device can claim a £300 Chromebook Go laptop for £0 when they buy – but this does run out on January 16 so you’ll need to be relatively quick. This offer may not jump out at you straight away as you need to scroll down to the ‘offers’ section at the end and claim via the link with your receipt.

Avid mobile fans will be aware that a new mobile from Samsung could be imminent, which is worth considering if you want the newest Samsung device – as the S24 range could soon be overshadowed with a new device – as with each new year – a new S range is expected, although not confirmed yet.
