Emergency services were called at around 1.05pm local time after horrified witnesses reported seeing the man tumble from an observation deck. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tourist reportedly plunged from the Roman aqueduct after sitting on an observation deck at the monument’s viewing platform. The 63-year-old reportedly fell backwards before he tragically died.
