Jade Kilduff, who won the hearts of the nation during her appearance on BGT in 2020, has announced she is expecting her first child with her fiancée Devon Booth

Britain’s Got Talent star Jade Kilduff has delighted fans with the announcement that she’s expecting her first child.

The singer, who captured hearts on BGT in 2020, shared the joyful news on Instagram with a heartwarming black-and-white video alongside her fiancée Devon Booth. The couple teased their followers with the message: “We’ve been keeping a secret,” before revealing an ultrasound scan in a tender moment of celebration.

The 23-year-old and her partner are set to become parents this summer, and their social media post was met with a wave of congratulations. One fan exclaimed: “This gave me shivers! So happy for you both! ” while another chimed in with: “Congratulations to you both! How exciting.”

A third congratulated them: “Amazing news congratulations guys xxx.” Jade and Devon have been hitting one milestone after another, with their engagement announced earlier in 2023 through another romantic black-and-white clip showing Devon’s beachside proposal.

Jade marked the date “02.08.23,” in her caption as Ryan Mack’s Forever and Ever and Always provided the perfect soundtrack, reports the Express. Overwhelmed with happiness, Jade’s mother Diana commented: “Congratulations beautiful girlies. Sobbing again. Proudest and happiest mum ever, I love you both so much.

“Your deep true love and your connection makes me smile every single day, Devon thanks for making my girl complete, you two really are made for each other. Love you x.” Jade initially stole hearts on Britain’s Got Talent as a key component of Sign Along With Us, the 65-strong choir mixing song with sign language, which included her little brother, Christian.

Christian was a mere four years old at the time and lives with Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) brain injury, cerebral palsy, and severe sight impairment. The group solidified their place in the programme’s history as David Walliams’ golden buzzer choice, ultimately securing the runner-up position to vocalist Jon Courtenay.

Their emotionally charged audition, performing This Is Me from The Greatest Showman, moved many viewers to tears. Walliams was so captivated by their narrative that he contributed £10,000 to back Christian’s charitable endeavors benefitting the NHS.

At the time, Jade spoke to the Mirror as she admitted: “I never imagined that a group of ordinary people like us would get the golden buzzer. So when it happened, we couldn’t breathe, we were just screaming and crying and were so excited. Sign Along With Us is some kind of magic, I can’t explain.

“When we meet up it feels like family. We’re not a group, we’re a family. It’s flipped our lives in a positive way and Christian is so much happier now. He can tell people how he feels, which is so important and he can talk to other people too – it’s changed his life. That makes it all worthwhile. Everybody deserves to have something like this.”

She added: “Me and Christian have always had a really special bond and always understood each other. But Christian had no way of communicating or understanding, even enough to understand things and repeat them back. I thought, if I can do the signs and give him a visual for the words, it might help him. I wanted Christian to have a second chance at communicating.”
