WARNING – GRAPHIC CONTENT: Abigail Williams and Liberty German were killed in a brutal Indiana double murder during which their killer slit both of their throats and left them for dead
Haunting video shows Delphi girl’s final moments with ‘bridge guy’
Chilling video footage has captured the final moments of two teenage girls before they were brutally murdered in a shocking daylight attack by a stalker. Abigail Williams and Liberty German’s lifeless bodies were found buried under piles of sticks and branches in a secluded spot near a local landmark in Delphi, Indiana, in 2017.
The 13 and 14-year-old – known affectionately as Abby and Libby – had been left for dead after an attacker slashed their throats, with Libby stripped naked and Abby dressed in her friends clothes on top of her own. The murders, which shocked the world, were left unsolved for years after police discovered their bodies near the locally famous Monon Trail Bridge.
During a day off from school, the pair had been hiking in the area before they were set upon by their attacker. The two didn’t receive justice until 2024, despite capturing their killer walking in the shadows behind them in a haunting video showing their final moments.

The footage, discreetly taken by quick-thinking eighth grader Libby, showed Abby walking across the bridge on the sunny February morning. The short clip, which lasts less than a minute, briefly captures a man disappearing behind Abby before Libby adjusts the camera to show the shadowy figure.
The obscured stalker, who has become known as “bridge guy” since he appeared in another photo taken on the day, is only visible for an instant, but appears to keep his head down as he shuffles along the bridge.
The video and a picture showing only a barely discernible silhouette far in the distance behind the two serve as the only pictures of the two in their final moments.
The footage was played during the 2024 trial of Richard Matthew Allen, a Delphi local who was convicted of their murders in November that year. Abby can be heard nervously speaking about the figure walking behind them at the time, saying something to the effect of “is he behind me?” before speeding to a run.
Libby, who then points her phone at the ground, can be heard saying: “See, this is the path that we go down.” She adds: “There is no path going there so we have to go down here.” They both sound nervous and breathe fast while walking, and can be heard sniffling in the cold winter’s air.
The only words said by the “bridge guy” are a barely audible “guys” and “down the hill”, with the girls responding with a timid “hi” during one interaction. Their bodies were discovered the day after they were killed, with Libby’s dad having raised the alarm when they failed to meet him at 5.30pm after their walk.
Experts portrayed the pair’s final moments during Allen’s trial last year, saying they were likely left to bleed out for between four to 10 minutes after they were attacked. The video was posted on a website created by supporters of Allen, now 52, after he was convicted of their murders and sentenced to 130 years in prison.
The group has said they are now working on “post-conviction legal work following the man’s “wrongful” conviction. Allen maintains his innocence.
