Chloe Brockett has admitted that her boyfriend, Jack Fincham’s legal battle, has pushed her to a mental health crisis. The TOWIE star, 24, was rushed to A&E earlier this week after suffering a terrifying asthma attack, which she believes was brought on by the stress of former Love Island star Jack’s legal woes.

Jack, 33, swerved jail time after appealing his six-week prison sentence over being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. He was given a three-month suspended sentence added to his already 18-month suspended sentence for a drug-driving offence in March 2024. The reality TV star appeared at the hearing at Basildon Crown Court to appeal his six-week prison sentence.

After enduring months of stress by being caught up in Jack’s legal troubles, Chloe found herself hospitalised this week, suffering from a severe asthma attack triggered by the overwhelming pressure. Today marks her first public statement since Jack’s successful appeal, which saw his sentence for dangerous dog offenses reduced and his cane corso, Elvis, allowed to return home.

In an interview with The Sun, Chloe expressed her mixed emotions: “I’m over the moon with the outcome, but I just feel so drained. I should be cartwheeling and having a glass of Prosecco, but instead, I’m just sitting at my kitchen table thinking, ‘Oh my God, it’s finally all over.’”

Back in January, Chloe broke down in court, shouting “no” in a state of hysteria as Jack was handed a custodial sentence. Jack had been on a suspended prison term for a prior driving offense when he admitted to two counts of having a dangerously out-of-control dog. Just weeks after moving into their new home together, Jack’s dog, Elvis, was seized after reports that he had failed to keep the dog muzzled and on a lead in public.

Reflecting on the turmoil, Chloe shared: “After leaving TOWIE, I was feeling really happy and looking forward to a fresh start. I was so excited to have moved in with Jack, but within months his dog was seized. It was the most traumatic thing that could ever happen to him.”

She continued: “When it came to going to court, I supported Jack by going with him but was so upset by the custodial sentence. I knew Jack would find that hard as someone who suffers with mental health anyway.”

After Jack successfully appealed the sentence, he was granted bail and returned home to Chloe within hours. But when it came time for Jack’s case to be heard at Basildon Crown Court, Chloe decided not to attend, fearing the emotional toll it might take on her as she said “it all seemed a bit too intimidating”.

Chloe confessed that her health has taken a serious hit over the past year, both physically and mentally. Repeated illnesses, including flu, tonsillitis, and chest infections, have left her feeling drained. The reality TV star described her asthma as “horrific” before admitting it was this that caused her to be rushed to hospital.

It comes after a source told The Sun earlier this week: “Chloe has been ill for months. She’s been cancelling work commitments and not seeing friends.”

They added: “Last night she had a bad turn and ended up in hospital with a severe asthma attack. She’s always had asthma but it’s usually under control then last night she was struggling to breathe.”

Despite her struggles, Chloe has acknowledged the support she’s received from Jack, insisting that she’s “lucky” to have such a helpful partner.
