Model Christine McGuinness has wished her ex, Paddy, a happy Father’s Day after telling fans she wasn’t ‘looking for love’ following the couple’s break up in 2022

Christine McGuinness has paid tribute to her ex, Paddy McGuinness, on Father’s Day after making a cryptic comment about love.

The reality star, 36, shares kids, 10-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and seven-year-old Felicity – all of whom have autism – with the Top Gear star, 50.

Paying tribute to all the dads out there, Paddy took to Instagram with the message: “To all those Dads who put themselves last. The good Dads and stepdads here and those who have passed away. The working Dads, the tired Dads and the stressed Dads… it’s all worth it.

“For when you get those wonderful hugs, hear that gorgeous laughter and receive the unconditional love from your children, that really is the best. PS lest we not forget the new socks and ‘world’s best Dad’ mugs. Gentlemen, happy Father’s Day.”

Christine wrote beneath his post: “Happy Daddy’s Day from our three little loves.” The model also posted a photo tribute to her own dad on Father’s Day and captioned it: “I would choose you every time”.

Her heartfelt message comes after the model told fans she was ‘wasn’t looking for love’ following her split from Paddy in 2022. The couple shocked the showbiz world when they announced they were calling time on their marriage, vowing to co-parent their children and deciding to still share the same home.

Alongside a glamorous photo of herself on her Instagram Story, posted an inspiring message to her fans about enjoying life. Alluding to her single status, she wrote: “Never go in search of love, go in search of life, and life will find you the love you seek.”

Christine has previously admitted she will never get married again, revealing earlier this year in BBC 2’s Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales: “The only life I’ve known is with Patrick and I’m not sure what my path is now I’m on my own. I need to figure it out. Patrick and I have been separated for almost two years now, but I don’t think I’ve dealt with the separation completely yet and I know that one day I’m going to have to do that.” Christine added: “The biggest change is to come, I’m just scared of doing it.”

Speaking to The Sun’s TV mag, the mum-of-three continued: “I don’t see myself getting married again. I just don’t. I’ve never had time to myself. I was with Patrick since I was 19 and now I’m single for the first time in a long time. I don’t need to tell anyone where I’m going or what I’m doing. That is so freeing and something that I’m not sure I want to give away again.”
