Condensation may not appear to be a serious problem – but if it is not dealt with it can cause further issues with mould and have an impact on your health

The NHS says it is likely to cause respiratory problems and infections and result in allergies or asthma.

Damp and mould can also impact the immune system and spores from mould are can quickly spread in your home.

Condensation happens when moist air meets a cold surface leading to water droplets.

But Natasha found a cheap buy to keep it away an Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, which has more than 2.5 million members.

She wrote: “Only 59p in Poundstretchers work really well in wardrobes. Great for winter”

She posted an image of hanging dehumidifiers which moisture and is drawn so it doesn’t collect on clothes, windows or walls.

This in turn will stop damp clothes and prevent mould forming in your home

They will need changed occasionally but the bargain price were an ideal hack for winter months.

People responded in the comments’ section and some said the bag had split on them.

But other posters praised the bargain idea and explained they prevented condensation.

One person wrote: “I use these on my curtain pole in the bedroom as well never had a problem with them.”

Another commented: “Put them in my downstairs loo in the winter.”

“Swear by these,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “My dad uses them in car to prevent condensation.”

“Our Poundstretcher closed. But I’ve got a multi pack bag the last time I was in there. I hang them on my clothes airers,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I use them every year, never split.”

The Mirror reported how TikTok content creator Mandy Charlton (@mandyyourtiktokmum) splashed out for a dehumidifier in the kitchen, but realised she had high moisture levels elsewhere in her house. So instead, she bought ‘dehumidifier bags’ – and was ‘blown away’ that they actually collected moisture.

In the caption of a recent video, Mandy shared: “I really didn’t realise that I had any damp in my house, but these have proved otherwise. Having any kind of moist damp in your home is going to inevitably lead to problems for not only your house but also your health so this isn’t something that you want to delay on.”

Mandy explained you can buy them in large quantities on TikTok, where they cost less than £1 a bag. But you can also purchase them for £7.54 for six on Amazon, which works out at £1.25 per bag.
