Megan Byron, wife of the Astronomer CEO caught up in a Coldplay kiss cam scandal, is reportedly holed up at the luxury property in Kennebunk, Maine, 106 miles away from the couple’s $1.4 million marital home
Cheating CEO Andy Byron’s wife is hiding out at the family’s $2.4million Maine mansion while holding crisis talks over the future of their marriage following the infamous Coldplay kiss cam scandal, it’s been reported.
Megan Byron, 50, is said to be laying low at their luxury property in Kennebunk, 106 miles away from their $1.4million marital home in Northborough, Massachusetts after her husband was caught looking cosy with one of his colleague’s at Coldplay’s Boston show last week.
Former Astronomer CEO Mr Byron and the company’s HR boss Kristin Cabot were caught being “all over each other” at the British band’s gig before their secret was revealed to the world.
Mr Byron was captured with his arms wrapped around Ms Cabot as they cuddled before Coldplay frontman Chris Martin accidentally exposed their extra-marital romance. The initial clip has now racked up millions of views online, but fresh footage has allegedly shown the pair snogging before their public outing.
As the scandal continues to rumble on, with Mr Byron resigning from his position at Astronomer, his wife is thought to be surrounded by loved ones in the wake of her husband’s indiscretion.
The Daily Mail reports that the Associate Director of Lower School and Hope Graham Program Admissions at Bancroft School is being supported by her older sister Maura at the property in Kennebunk.
Mrs Byron is yet to comment publicly on her husband’s actions but she has made several tweaks to her social media accounts over recent days. The mum-of-two has reverted back to her maiden name of Kerrigan on Facebook and deleted a number of family snaps featuring Mr Byron from her page.
In the original viral moment, the Mr Byron appeared completely absorbed in the music as he held his Head of HR from behind, swaying along to the band’s live set. But the moment they spotted themselves on the massive screen, they instantly separated and desperately attempted to escape the limelight… however, it was far too late.
Chris Martin, having clocked them on the big screen, remarked: “Oh look at these two. Either they are having an affair or they’re just really shy.”
Both Astronomer employees were put on leave following the footage circulating online, with Mr Byron later resigning. The firm released a statement on LinkedIn and Twitter (X) declaring: “As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding.
“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”
LinkedIn profiles revealed that Ms Cabot joined the business nine months ago in her role as Chief People Officer – with Byron posting glowing praise about his new team member at the time. The tech chief lauded her “exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies” which he stated would “be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory”.
