If you found yourself entranced by the celebrities’ beauty as they walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes last weekend, look no further. Not only did the outfits look spectacular, but one actress’s flawless complexion turned heads on its own.
The Lioness starlet Zoe Saldana looked radiant as she walked the carpet in a sequined black gown with glass-like skin that we all envied. And if you’ve been wondering how exactly you can copy her radiant and smooth complexion, the man responsible for her pre-award show beauty tricks recently gave Marie Claire an exclusive insight into the routine that divulged Zoe’s skincare included this covetable LED face mask.

According to Marie Claire’s article, Zoe Saldana “paid a visit to the one, the only Lord Gavin McLeod Valentine,” where she was put through a variety of skincare tricks and treats, including “a highly effective range of Augustinus Bader skincare products” alongside several gadgets, toxin removal, and a robust lymphatic drainage massage.
Samantha Holender reports Lord Gavin’s signature facial, dubbed The Method, focuses on intense facial massage, intending to awaken the skin and enhance cellular communication.
Lord Gavin exclusively told Marie Claire: “This comes from the process of expunging toxins, amplifying blood flow, and engaging the collagen fibers to let the skin take on a more vital healthy look instantly,” Going on to say: “For Zoe it was all about embedding the skin with deep-rooted hydration, while drawing out the natural golden tones within her skin. I work to brighten the under-eyes while maximizing the structure of her jaw and cut-glass cheeks.”
One of the magical beauty devices Lord Gavin used in this lengthy process was a light therapy mask from Currentbody, which he used on Zoe in the last few hours before her red carpet appearance (it actually was not the only LED treatment she underwent as part of her glam prep).
The LED Light Therapy Face Mask Series 2 from Currentbody is set to step up any beauty regime—whether you’re heading to an awards ceremony or just fancy some TLC at home.
The LED mask is said to be a revolution in LED mask technology. It easily and effectively combats signs of ageing while leaving the skin feeling renewed. The mask encourages deep and enhanced collagen production, significantly reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and redness for younger-looking skin.
With upgraded light coverage compared to its predecessor, this LED mask gives you an instant glow. Your skin will look healthier, brighter, and smoother, perfect for those red carpet snaps.
The Series 2 has a revamped Best-Fit flexible liquid silicone shape, which Currentbody has tested on thousands of faces for maximum coverage and comfort, including upgraded full lip and nose coverage. So this mask won’t be uncomfortable whether you’re treating yourself to an evening pamper or stepping up your skincare in front of the telly.
Promising to be completely painless, with no side effects, and only 10 minutes to use, it’s no wonder this gem was included in her pre-award show glam prep.
