Enjoy goodies from big names including ELEMIS, Philip Kingsley and Dr Paw Paw

Lookfantastic’s January edition of its beauty subscription, The Box, has dropped, and it’s a delicious way to kick-start your new year. The Box usually contains six travel-sized products, ideal for trying out new brands and goodies — but to help you get 2025 underway, it contains an additional seventh product to boost your January blues.

The bundle, worth over £106, contains everything you need to give yourself a real pamper night. Plus, as an added bonus, Lookfantastic is offering a free welcome beauty box worth over £50 when you subscribe to one of their monthly plans — what a treat.

If you haven’t tried the service before, it costs £15 for a one-month subscription and £13 if you commit to 12 months. With a 12-month subscription, you’ll also get free premier delivery worth £9.90.

One of the hero products this month is the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. This deep conditioning treatment has been designed to hydrate dry hair, add shine and reduce frizz instantly, all the while reducing hair breakage by 46% after one use, which is pretty impressive.

Another nifty product inside is Dr Paw Paw’s relatively new Facial Mist, worth £12.50. To be used morning or night, the brand describes the product as an ‘ultra-lightweight formula’ that delivers three powerful benefits in a delightful spray”. It’s also enhanced with niacinamide (vitamin B3) to refine skin texture, boost hydration, and minimise excess oil.

While those two products are excellent for their worth, we reckon ELEMIS’ Cleansing Balm is one of the best products in the haul. This bestselling formula melts away dirt and makeup, leaving skin feeling soft, cleansed and glowy — as if you’ve just left the spa.

With all beauty boxes, though, not all the products will be to your liking. For example, I rarely use lip balms, so I’m doubtful the included Sumbum Lip Balm will come in handy. But that’s the charm of beauty boxes; you can bag some high-end products for less and either try something new or gift them.

What’s Inside The Edit?

If you’re looking for more beauty boxes, there are plenty of options. M&S, for instance, recently launched its £30 Wellness Box, and our shopping writer Bethan is obsessed.

Meanwhile, Next has released a £50 Luxe Edit Beauty Box worth £228. One of the products inside, the ELEMIS Superfood Oil, is worth £54 alone, making the other seven items basically free.
