David Harbour made his red carpet return at the Critics’ Choice Awards in California following news of his marriage breakdown to Lily Allen and seemed to confirm the news by not wearing his ring

As the awards season continued, celebrities took to the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards in California.

Among them was David Harbour, 49, who made his first appearance on the red carpet since the news his marriage to Lily Allen, 39, was over. The actor and singer-songwriter confirmed their break-up. It’s been claimed though that Stranger Things star David “broke up” with his wife at the end of last year.

The duo had been married for four years before calling it quits. Reports emerged saying Lily had entered a trauma clinic in the US post-breakup as she took a break from her popular podcast.

Speaking to co-host of the BBC podcast Miss Me?, Miquita Oliver, the pop star said she she had been going through a difficult time. “I’m just so… I’m really not in a good place,” she confessed.. “I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiralling and spiralling and spiralling, and it’s got out of control.”

“I just can’t concentrate on anything except the pain that I’m going through,” she continued. “It’s really, really hard.”

A source had earlier told the Mail: “She will spend several weeks at the residential retreat in the US where she is expected to take part in intensive group counselling sessions and one-on-one therapy in which she will be urged to ‘unpack’ her emotions.”

Now, David was showing he is getting on with his career as he turned up at the 30th annual edition of the Critics’ Choice Awards. He was seen looking smart in a black suit with black shirt. He was spotted not wearing his wedding ring for the occasion.

He was also on hand to dish out one of the prestigious gongs. David took to the stage alongside Kathryn Hahn to present the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for TV.

Their skit was met with a mixed response online. One user on Twitter/X gushed: “kathryn hahn and david harbour speaking brainrot on live tv is all ive ever needed in my life.”

Another stunned viewer gasped: “NOT DAVID HARBOUR SAYING SKIBIDI TOILET GIRLY POP?!?!” while a third added: “Kathryn Hahn & David Harbour doing a funny gen z skit & presenting an award to Cristin Milioti. This is made specifically for me.”

However, others labelled their presenting as “cringe” with one user claiming: “That whole bit between Kathryn Hahn and David Harbour was so cringe.”
