The new pink drink has won fans over on social media and our tester was just as impressed by the hot beverage
If you don’t think you need a pink hot chocolate in your life, you might want to think again. Galaxy has released a new pink hot chocolate that’s taking social media by storm — and for good reason.
Keen to try the viral £2.75 drink, I didn’t hesitate to put it to the test—and it passed with flying colours. I thoroughly enjoyed it and all three testers I gathered to also try the drink were impressed.
Admittedly, some had reservations about the colour, but it’s great if you want something that will make a statement. If you’re hosting a Galentine’s Day party, for instance, or you just fancy a novelty drink, the eye-grabbing drink certainly does the trick.
Most importantly, it tastes great, too. “It’s really nice,” according to my first tester, and everyone else agreed. Despite the colour, the drink isn’t strawberry or berry-flavoured.
In fact, it’s white hot chocolate. However, it’s worth mentioning the drink is just as sweet as you’d expect. So it’s perhaps one to avoid if you don’t have a sweet tooth.
Social media fans shared similar feedback. Reacting to Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK’sFacebook post about the drink, someone commented: “Got this yesterday it’s lush.” Another praised: “Tried it today and it’s lovely not too sweet or sickly either.”
On TikTok, @Kerry..1 shared their first impressions, writing: “It was really nice.” Another TikTok user @Whatlaurenfound found the hot chocolate tasted “really sweet”.
Meanwhile, on Instagram, @Another_snack_reviewer wrote: “This is a white hot chocolate and it’s definitely on the sweet side (and if I’m saying that then you can be sure of it). I would perhaps stick to a milk chocolate personally but this was fun for a change- purely because it’s pink!”
For an extra dose of sweetness, I’d recommend serving the drink with whipped cream. I won’t make it an everyday drink, but it’s a fun treat. Galaxy Pink Hot Chocolate is available from Home Bargains, B&M and Heron Foods.
