A video of US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump looking “lost and confused” has sparked concern among his supporters, with some suggesting he might be “unravelling before our eyes”.
The footage was so alarming that even his political opponent Kamala Harris expressed her concerns, tweeting: “Hope he’s okay.” Earlier on Monday (October 14), the Kamala HQ X account had posted a video showing Trump seemingly “frozen” on stage.
Harris is set to battle it out with Trump in the upcoming election on November 5, where she could potentially make history as the first female president, while Trump aims for a second term after losing to President Joe Biden in 2020. The clip, captured during the Trump-Vance campaign in Oaks, Pennsylvania, shows Trump swaying to music at the end of a Town Hall event, as many attendees appeared to leave the venue early.
Reacting to Harris’ tweet, the Republicans against Trump X account commented: “He’s unraveling in front of our eyes.”
“Trump appears lost, confused, and frozen on stage as multiple songs play for 30+ minutes and the crowd pours out of the venue early,” said Kamala HQ in a tweet, sharing the clip broadcasted by US network, RSBN.
A Harris enthusiast retorted in response: “Trump is not well – JD Vance would be a Big Mac away from being president. This is crazy thought. Vote for Kamala Harris.” Echoing that sentiment, another chimed in: “This job is massively hard and he’s not fit for it. I hope he’s okay too.”
A third added praise for the Vice President, writing: “Thank you, Madame Vice President, for that moment of humanity. Yes, you are right, he does not look well. Worse than [82-year old Minority Leader of the United States Senate] Mitch McConnell when he froze for a few minutes twice earlier this year.”
Meanwhile, a fourth took a harsher stance: “That seems to be his signature move now, lost, confused, frozen and I’ll add stupid.”
On the flip side, however, a Trump supporter pushed back, exclaiming: “He looks better than Joe [Biden] did and you said Joe was fine. There are people who leave early to beat the crowd. No one leaves yours early because they all fit in one taxi.”
Another pointed out what they perceived as justification behind Trump’s appearance, stating: “I see that there are ‘Proposed Community Notes’ on this [tweet] already. There were two medical emergencies in the crowd. Trump did not want to walk out and leave the people whilst those were dealt with. He is loyal to America and Americans. Unlike you. Grow up, Kamala.”
And adding to the defence, a third rebuked Harris’s assertion, insisting: “Trump’s crowd loved him so much that they kept the music going until the end of the town hall.”
Trump recently took to X to question Kamala Harris’ health. In a lengthy tirade, he suggested she was “bonkers” in response to a question in a recent interview. “I believe it is very important that Kamala Harris pass a test on Cognitive Stamina and Agility,” Trump penned.
“Her actions have led many to believe that there could be something very wrong with her. Even 60 Minutes and CBS, in order to protect Lyin’ Kamala, illegally and unscrupulously replaced an answer she had given, which was totally ‘bonkers’, with another answer that had nothing to do with the question asked.”
He concluded: “Also, she is slow and lethargic in answering even the easiest of questions. We just went through almost four years of that, we shouldn’t have to do it again!”
