Amazon has dropped the price of plenty of high-end vacuums in its 2025 Spring Sale, but they don’t beat Dyson’s new £150 saving
Amazon has pressed ‘go’ on its 2025 Spring Sale, launching hundreds of deals on its discount pages, including popular brands Hoover, Shark, Dyson, and Vax. It may seem like a win for seasonal cleaners, but a comparison amongst rival retailers proves bigger savings can also be found elsewhere.
Amazon is selling the V8 Absolute model for just shy of £300 and those who don’t compare could think it’s the best saving around. A quick check at Dyson shows shoppers would be missing out on the brands much cheaper price- as the powerful device drops to £249.99 – compared to £299, which is the cheapest price we could find at Amazon.
It’s part of Dyson’s seasonal sale, seemingly aimed at avid spring cleaners as it plummets the price of floor cleaners, cordless vacuums, and even robot vacuums. In keeping with the time of year, it’s also cut £100 off the price of the Hot+Cool Jet Focus fan in time for muggy summer weather.

The Dyson V8 Absolute discount is designed to clean all floor types, from hard floors to soft carpet and even upholstery. It has a run time of up to 40minutes from a full charge, but the stand out feature (or selling point) is the 115 Air Watts suction power – this is what sets it apart from rival brands.
The 115 Air Watts of Fade Free Suction is unique to Dyson, and is powered by the Dyson Hyperdymium digital motor, essentially the tech that gives it the power to pull up stubborn dust and dirt. It also captures of to 99.99% of microscopic particles, an essential feature for those who suffer from dust allergies at home – as this is thought to help combat that.
Dyson is running it’s own seasonal sale, and some of the products beat the early offers we’re seeing from Amazon. So, it’s worth shopping around.
It’s a feature similar to those offered on rival models though, including Shark’s PowerDetect Powered Lift Away vacuum, which costs £399, and captures 99.9% of ‘dust and allergens’. There’s also the Henry Allergy vacuum – which is selling for £159 at Amazon, and one which does match the brand’s own price unlike the Dyson V8.
On top of Dyson’s cheaper V8 vacuum sale, there’s a reason why we’d recommend buying the product on the own brand’s site over Amazon. The main being a disparity in prices due to having various third-party sellers.
We found two different prices for the V8 Absolute vacuum at Amazon – both were more expensive than Dyson. Namely this listing of £299 which is closer to Dyson’s price, but the pre-sale price shows £499, whereas Dyson’s original price is £399, and this listing of the model for £309.90 – that states the pre-sale price was £324 – cheaper than Dyson’s original price listed on its website.
It’s worth noting that both of these Amazon deals are sold by third-party sellers and aren’t official listings from the Dyson storefront at Amazon. It can be confusing for shoppers and in this particular case is why it might be better to buy the V8 Absolute Vacuum shoppers at the brand’s own store.
