Sacha Jones has issued a plea to her fans for help as she shared the devastating loss of her cat who she introduced to viewers on Married At First Sight UK
Married At First Sight UK star Sacha Jones has shared an emotional call for help to her fans.
The reality TV star, 29, is known for appearing on the latest series of the hit E4 dating show where she was paired with Ross McCarthy. Since the show aired, Sacha has been keeping fans updated about her life outside the experiment. Sacha and Ross split soon after filming wrapped and he’s moved on with a new girlfriend.
The Walsall beautician showed off her beloved home life while on Married At First Sight with her cats and gym-loving parents nearby. Viewers met Sacha’s black and white cat Diego on the show and she provided updates on his own social media page. However, last week Sacha shared the devastating news her cat Diego had died.
In a message to fans, Sacha revealed she will be holding a funeral to celebrate Diego’s life. She posted a photo of an order of service that featured a photo of Diego along with: “Celebrating the life of Diego. A cat like no other!” The TV star issued a plea to her followers and added: “If any local businesses are interested in providing catering or decos for Diego’s funeral next weekend pls get in touch x.”
Alongside a series of photos with Diego, Sacha shared her heartbreaking news last week. She wrote: “At 3am this morning I lost the best thing that ever happened to me. He was due in for scans and tests today as he’s been ill for awhile and tried various different meds but now I will never fully know why he passed. Yesterday they just put him on fluids then at 1am I heard him scream out in agony.
“I took him emergency vet but there wasn’t much they could do so I brought him home and he took his final breath in my arms. You once saved my life Diego, I’m so sorry I couldn’t save yours. I really thought I was doing all I could. But maybe I should of pushed for your scans sooner.
“And I definitely shouldn’t of left you for those couple days I was away. I just thought you’d be fine at your nanny and grandad’s and vet’s didn’t seem too concerned. I feel like it’s all my fault. You’d just started your little weight loss journey too when all this started to happen.”
She continued: “I will miss spooning you to sleep, and waking up to you giving me morning kisses. I’ll miss that look in your eye when you’d look at me, like I was the best thing since sliced bread! Never have I ever met a cat that begs like to beg like a dog, likes showers and gives kisses. You always used to chat back to me too and i’m gonna miss that meow when i’d ask if you love your mommy.
“How am I meant to deal with this pain? How am I meant to get through this? And live in this home without you? It feels so empty. I just wanna feel the thump of when you jump on my bed. I haven’t left my bed. I can’t stop screaming and crying. How do I ever fathom this? And go on as normal? You were too young. Too full of spirit and love. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more. You’re the love of my life Diego. I’m so so sorry. Mommy loves you so much.”
