Eamonn Holmes has been presenting alongside Isabel Webster for around three years but GB News has made some scheduling changes, which will come into effect in the new year

Eamonn Holmes’ co-host on GB News Isabel Webster is set to be replaced as part of a large shake-up.

The controvesial broadcaster announced Ellie Costello, 31, will now host the breakfast coverage during the working week. Isabel, 41, who had previously worked for Sky News and the BBC, has been the anchor since 2022.

But the change, which will come into force in January, is one of a few adjustments GB News has confirmed – with news also emerging Mark Dolan has been “relieved of his duties”. The 50-year-old comedian didn’t offer any immediate explanation for his termination.

With reference to its morning coverage, A GB News spokesperson told Mail Online: “Ellie Costello will now co-host GBN Breakfast five days a week, presenting alongside Eamonn Holmes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and with Stephen Dixon on Thursday and Friday. Stephen and Anne Diamond will continue to co-present GB News Breakfast at Weekends.”

Eamonn and Isabel are close friends off-screen as they anchored Sky News’ breakfast show, previously called Sunrise. The duo started their GB News partnership in January 2022, months after Eamonn’s 15-year stint on This Morning dramatically came to an end.

Posting on social media, Isabel told fans it was her “final” show with the veteran broadcaster on Wednesday, but hinted it was just for Christmas. She shared a studio snap with Eamonn and her, captioning the picture: “Over and out from us! Merry Christmas.”

Commenting on the role changes, Ben Briscoe, head of programming and talent on GB News, said: “2024 has been a truly fantastic year for us. Not only are we regularly beating the other established news channels, but we are also making inroads against the big public service broadcaster terrestrial channels. Our initiatives will allow us to build on this success with a renewed focus and ambition.”

Isabel previously told reporters how she was supporting Eamonn through his split from Ruth Langsford. She said: “I love Ruth and I love Eamonn and I’ve got nothing but love for them.

“I wish them all the very best – divorce is difficult for anyone. When you’re in the public eye, it’s got to be even more difficult I’ve been in touch with Ruth but you’ll have to ask her about her divorce.”

Mark, meanwhile, started presenting his self titled Mark Dolan Tonight and Mark Dolan Live on GB News in 2021. The presenter was criticised on GB News last year when he tried to form a Match Of The Day alternative in the wake of Gary Lineker being asked to step down from the BBC original.
