Here are all the predictions that have come true for famous Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga as both she and Nostradamus agree on some disturbing prophecies for next year

Baba Vanga has made chilling prophecies for 2025 and here are all the predictions that she has made that have come true.

The Bulgarian mystic, whose real name is Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, died at the age of 84 in 1996 having become famous for her clairvoyance. She claimed to have gained her powers during a terrible storm, when she lost her eyesight at 12 years old.

Also known as the ‘Nostradamus of the Balkans’, she is believed to have had such strong visions that 85% of them are correct. And since her death more of her predictions have come true which is not good news as she is now warning of “cruel wars” and an “apocalypse” for next year.

She said that the goings on in 2025 would lead to a global apocalypse. One of the events she described was a conflict that is set to erupt on mainland Europe. She believed a new war would break out in 2025 between two countries, but the ramifications will ripple across the world.

And it isn’t just a global apocalypse that Baba Vanga said we should be looking out for ahead of next year as we can also expect a visit from aliens as well as seeing telepathy perfected.

Baba Vanga predictions that came true

The Kursk

In 1980, Baba Vanga claims to have foreseen a dreadful event in which the city of Kursk in Russia, claiming it would be “covered with water and the whole world will weep over it”. A total of 188 crew members died in August 2000 when a nuclear submarine sank near the city.

9/11 attack

In 1989, she allegedly said: “Horror, Horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing.” Those ‘steel birds’ are said to be the plane-turned-missiles used by the hijackers of Al-Qaeda on 9/11 in 2001.

Barack Obama and Donald Trump

It appears Barack Obama can thank Baba for a prediction in which she said the 44th US president would be the first to be black, although she did say he would be the very last. Meanwhile, there’s also been claims that she predicted what would happen with Donald Trump. She said: “Everyone will put their hopes in him to end it, but the opposite will happen. He will bring the country down and conflicts between north and south states will escalate.”

Floods

Baba apparently predicted a number of extreme weather events in 2022 which came true. She prophesied that a number of large cities around the world would be hit by large-scale droughts and water shortages. That year, the UK had its driest July since 1935, officially declaring drought on August 12. Meanwhile, other countries in Europe also faced drought, including France, Italy and Portugal. She also claimed Australia and Asia would experience floods, which also happened.

Indira Gandhi assassination

Indira Gandhi served as prime minister of India in the early 1980s, and in 1984 she ordered a military attack on the Golden Temple – the holiest site in Sikhism. In October the same year, she was shot dead by two of her Sikh bodyguards in an apparently revenge attack. In 1969, Baba had a vision of the prime minister, claiming: “The dress will destroy her. I see an orange-yellow dress in the smoke and fire.” On the day she was murdered, Gandhi was wearing a saffron-coloured saree.

Her own death

Baba predicted, with eye-opening accuracy and six years before her death, that she would die on August 11 1996. Shortly before her death, she claimed a 10-year-old blind girl in France would inherit her gift.

People who are taking Baba Vanga’s warning with a heavy dose of cynicism, may take note that her predictions for next year also line up with another famous fortune teller, Nostradamus himself. The pair may have been separated by several centuries, with Nostradamus dying in 1566, but they agreed on certain events for 2025.

The prophet, real name Michel de Nostredame, has also seen a number of his prophecies from his book Les Propheties come true over the years after it was released more than 450 years ago. He is said to have accurately predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler, the shooting of President John F Kennedy, the start of the Covid pandemic, and even 2022’s cost of living crisis.

Nostradamus used the alignment of the stars to make his predictions for the future, and looking at 2025 from 500 years ago, he warned that ‘those from the lands of Europe’ would become embroiled in ‘cruel wars’ at some point. Troublingly he added that the UK would be involved, while he also pointed out that: “The ancient plague will be worse than enemies.”

Nostradamus also had other revelations for next with some good and others bad. He believed that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine may come to an end due to the ‘exhaustion’ of both armies but he also said that Brazil will be rocked by volcanic activity and deadly flooding.
