A gift wrapping expert has revealed her super easy hack for making wrapping oddly shaped gifts easier – and it’s totally ‘genius’ and takes just seconds to perfect
Lots of Christmas gifts come in rather odd shapes and sizes, which can make wrapping them tricky. Luckily, a wrapping expert has shared her hack in a TikTok video to make wrapping awkward shaped presents, without making a complete mess, a little easier to do. The video, which shows Tracie Garret wrapping a Fisher Price children’s toy, was shared to the Fisher Price TikTok page, in a bid to highlight the best ways to wrap oddly shaped gifts. Tracie, who goes by ‘beeandblooms’ online, is a professional gift wrapper who shares all her best wrapping tips on her TikTok account, along with step-by-step videos of the process. She shares videos of wrapping various items, from Stanley Cups to gift cards, and pretty much everything in between.
In the video she demonstrates how to make the wrapping process a little easier when you’re dealing with a strangely shaped item, such as a children’s toy. First Tracie cuts out a square of wrapping paper, then she places the item she’s wrapping onto it, and cuts small tabs into the bottom of the paper, each of which being a few inches long. Next, the wrapping expert lays the toy down inside the wrapping paper, folds the paper over the gift, and then uses the tabs to fold the paper easily around the bottom of the toy, ensuring that the gift looks neat and well wrapped, rather than an oddly shaped mess.
People were quick to comment on the video, with one user writing: “you are so smart!”, while a second added: “Oh snap!!! So smart!”. A third commented: “”Literally genius!”.
