Fearne Cotton, 43, has broken her silence after she announced her split from husband Jesse Wood, 48, on Friday.
The ITV star released a new episode on her podcast Happy Place, and spoke candidly about her body with beauty expert Caroline Hirons. Fearne confessed about the changes she’d experienced after having kids, having welcomed son Rex, 11, and daughter Honey, nine, with Jesse.
Asked about how to keep skin looking healthy, Caroline shared: “If you want to change the structure of your skin, that is when you go and see someone who can do an injectable. That’s the structure of your skin. So if you think about the scaffolding outside the building, that will start to dismantle as we get older – it just does. You know, the joke is about everything heading south. If you’ve breast fed four kids and you take your bra off, you are very aware of that.”
Fearne jokingly interrupted: “Babes, I’m there. Two of them babes, still there,” with Caroline agreeing: “Exactly, it only takes one, let’s be honest. It takes one and you’re like, ‘Wait, where did they go?’”
“Droopy little dog ears,” Fearne laughed, adding, “F**k that, we’re scooping them off the ground” when talking about putting a bra on.
On Fearne’s podcast, she talks about plenty of selfcare and health topics after undertaking huge lifestyle changes compared to her party girl days. A couple of years ago, she revealed: “I would cram my first flat with as many humans as possible back in the day, music blaring, vodka flowing and very little food. In my twenties, I would happily wander off to bed with beer bottles in the sink and even actual humans sleeping on the sofas.”
These days, Fearne doesn’t enjoy the same high-octane lifestyle. “I don’t want to go to a party and talk to people,” she shared. “I’ll have my feet rubbed, thanks very much.”
While Fearne and Jesse enjoyed a quieter life together, she shocked fans by announcing that their domestic bliss was over. “It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time,” she wrote on Instagram on Friday.
The duo kicked off their relationship with a whirlwind romance back when the first met in 2011, when Fearne was visiting Ibiza with her girl pals – but soon found Jesse and immediately bonded with him. Fearne shared more details about their meet cute on Instagram, posting a photo of herself and Jesse swapping numbers. “My mate @amandabyram who I was on a girls holiday with, took a sneaky photo 8 years ago to the day of me and @jessejameswood swapping numbers on a night out in Ibiza,” she wrote alongside the candid snap.
She added: “Who would have thought it would lead to two kids and marriage! A game changing, very drunken night out that I’m forever grateful for. Happy ‘when we met’ anniversary Jesse.”
